Located in the heart of Shimbashi and within a few minutes walk of the station. The area can get very interesting and lively on weekday evenings when office workers get off work and socialize in the many bars and restaurants nearby. I’ve stayed in probably over 100 hostels in Japan (including the Hotel Owl Nippori location), and this was the first time I’ve experienced bed bugs, which left me with red, itchy bumps all over my body, from my face down to my feet. I only saw one other review speaking of this, so maybe I just got unlucky. Nonetheless, it really soured the last two days I had in Tokyo as I was always itching and had to wear a hoodie when it was hot outside to hide all the bumps. Other than bed bugs, it’s probably the most narrow hostel I’ve stayed in. There’s a dedicated space to leave your luggage, but it can probably only hold about 10-12 suitcases, which wouldn’t be enough if every guest brought a suitcase. There’s really no space anywhere else to leave your belongings other than your bed, which increases likelihood of bed bugs. Only one shower stall for men, so sometimes you had to wait to shower. There were 5 sinks shared by all genders in a cramped space, which can get crowded in the morning. If it weren’t for the bed bugs, I’d probably give this place a 6 since it’s manageable and in a good area.

The property was in a great part of town- so much around and easy access to other things. They didn’t have great storage for bags

2nd time staying here, it is very affordable, you can book top or bottom bunk, it is spacious and comfortable for a capsule. they offer basic amenities like towels, toothbrush and sleepers. it can get very loud as it is just one room and also because of its price and location, you find a lot of drunk people

If you are solo most the people are locals and very quiet and clean but the its the other foreigners that can make it not so fun. They are not as considerate... Other foreigners going to bed super late and causing alot of sound.

Clean and safe. Close to the train station and nearby plenty of restaurants. Great value! The bed wasn’t hat comfortable, but it’s worth the price

The location is pretty convenient to reach from the Shinbashi station. Needed to bring my luggages upstairs a bit which’s fine. Overall is great!

Good location. Convenient train from Narita. Lots of little bars and restaurants open late. A Lawson and a Family mart steps away. Wifi worked. Everything was clean. It was very small. Shower and bathroom were right next to the sleeping area and there was only one for females. It felt a little awkward and I felt weird drying my hair when others were sleeping.

Unfortunately, the walls are very thin and there's lots of Izakayas/bars/restaurants around, so even on a week night it can be loud until late. Maybe it was possible, but I couldn't manage to fold the table inside the capsule. It bothered me a bit during the night, but nothing too bad.

Great location. Excellent value for money. Good security (someone behind the desk at the top of the stairs 24/7 who can see anyone coming in). Mechanical code lock for easy access late at night. Free towels, gowns, and toothbrushes. There is an electric kettle and a microwave. A short walk to Shinbashi Station. Each capsule has its own TV and headphones. Good Wi-Fi. Very, very cramped. The main door clatters when people punch in the code (you have to push the mechanical buttons). People can arrive quite late at night. You have to carefully eat breakfast on your bed as there is no common room or even chairs and a table. There is a restaurant downstairs which can be a little noisy at night. The beds are very hard.

Hotel location was great! I was able to either walk or take the train to all relevant destinations: Tokyo Tower, imperial palace, Shibuya scramble and Tokyo Station! My bed was very uncomfortable- I woke up with pressure points from the thin mattress and the space was stuffy with poor air circulation. Otherwise, it was as I expected.
