Room size is very small but comfortable.

Great location, helpful staff, staff speak multiple languages and gave helpful recommendations! The staff were very kind and even helped us to figure out the luggage delivery service. Thank you! Bathrooms are a bit small but the room itself is actually quite large so it is a trade off.

Lovely and modern hotel in a nice quiet street close to Ueno, easy to use as a base to explore Tokyo. Rooms are very small (as is the standard in JP) but well designed so it's doable if you don't have big suitcases. Friendly staff

We enjoyed our stay at Paul House. The room was clean and modern. Though small, it had everything we needed and was in a good location- close to Okachimachi Station (8 minute walk), but on a very quiet street. For someone wanting stay near Ueno (but not in the hustle of Ueno) and the near Yamanote line, it's a good option. There is a Paul House AirBnB and a Paul House Hotel; both in the same vicinity, and apparently run by the same company. We got confused and went to the AirBnB first by mistake. A little more clarity from the owner would have saved us the confusion and extra walking.

This place was great! Clean, comfortable, excellent location, easy to use laundry, nice staff that helped me forward my luggage, water etc! Can't beat it.

The hotel was very clean, staff was very friendly, and the location was excellent. For the price I paid, it was really a good deal. Nothing.

Lighting is good, able to adjust. Free water fountain at 1st floor. Room alley is narrow, can't open a 24 inch suitcase.

Very accommodating staff. Check in was supposed to be at 4pm, but we were able to check in earlier. Also, the property is in good location and clean room. The air conditioner is centralized, so it was a bit warm in our room. Also, if you switched to Fan, it wouldn't help. The size of the room is also a bit small.

Exceeded my expectations mainly because the staff were SO nice. The room was smaller but very practically put together. And it’s common for Tokyo accommodation to be smaller. They even offered to store our bigger luggage downstairs given the size the the rooms which I thought was nice. There are good amenities and a cool rooftop area. SUPER close the market. Convenient location. Very clean. It was all good. Only complaint is room size but this is not a for Tokyo.

Property was clean in a quiet area of Ueno, close to transportation, food/restaurants, and lots of shopping. Staff was welcoming always greeting with a smile. Lobby has area to pick up any toiletries you may have forgotten at home. Also provides hot and cold drinking water. Front doors lock after 11p and entry by passcode after 11p.

A nice, cosy hotel tucked away from the busy street. There’s a Daiso and Takeya within a five-minute walk, which is very handy for shopping, and Takeya also offers tax-free returns. The hotel is in a neighbourhood area with a park nearby, which is great for families like us with kids. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Ueno Station. The standard twin room is great—well-designed, modern, and the bathroom is spacious. I love the small kitchen area on the fifth floor where you can heat up meals and wash dishes, and the ground floor where you can make yourself a cup of tea. There’s a laundry area, but the dryer doesn’t work very well—after an hour and a half my clothes were still a bit damp (and they weren’t winter clothes). The reception is friendly, and while the hotel is modern, the lift is quite old.

Everything was very pleasant and the hotel staff were very welcoming! The hotel is a bit tiny, but I booked the economy double room. The room was small and I was amazed at how it could fit a shower and a bathroom inside, but it was very nice and cozy and it all worked well for my stay! I also loved the different floors with everything you need such as floors for reheating food, doing laundry, and a vending machine for drinks. The location of the hotel was convenient for me since Akihabara is nearby so you could just walk to and there are train stations close by for when you need to go across the city. There were many konbini and restaurants around as well so that if you need something real quick, you can walk around easily! The walks back to the hotel were very nice and quiet! If I come back to Tokyo, I would love to book here again! I really enjoyed my stay, so there is nothing I can really think about that I didn't like. This'll be more of a warning though. Pay close attention to the instructions the hotel staff gives you especially when it comes to trying to enter and get back into the hotel between 23:00 (11 PM) and 8:00 (8 AM). YOU WILL BE LOCKED OUT for that time being, so pay close attention to whatever they say and give you because they will tell you on how and what to do to get back in. Can't remember what time I tried to get back into the hotel, but it was a little after 23:00 so maybe 23:05ish. Tried to get in, but instructions given weren't working until maybe 15-20 minutes after so if you arrive a little after 23:00, you might have to wait a little bit to get back in. Whatever happened to me might not happen after 23:30ish, but if you plan to stay out late, keep the 23:00-8:00 time frame in mind.

The staff is so helpful and friendly.. the hotel is located in a living neighborhood, very quite. 2 convenience stores are nearby and train stations are 6 and 10 minutes of walking distance. The rooms are extremely small.. but i guess its a tokyo thing. There is a laundry machine and a dryer but unfortunately no place to hang delicate clothes
