Marunouchi Hotel

We had a very nice and easy stay at Marunouchi Hotel. Excellent location for us as we came into Tokyo Station. Very nicely appointed and comfortable room for two. We had no complaints.

The Japanese garden was not as nice as I envision, but its not a deal breaker, and it was my fault for having unrealistic expectations

"Location, location, location. Other than staying at The Tokyo Station Hotel, you cannot get closer to the station." The general manager was extremely friendly and helpful. My wife practice her French with with him. The one big thing that bugged me, though, was the rooftop garden. It's a really cute area right off the lobby, but it closes at 5:00 pm. After being out all day, I kept wanting to sit out there for a few minutes of quiet time, but nope. Still, everything else about the place was absolutely awesome.

The hotel location was perfect for catching all train lines. The hotel itself was amazing. Especially the underground shops, incredible restaurants. Overall Marunouchi Hotel will not disappoint. There is nothing bad I can say about the hotel.

After three wonderful weeks traveling throughout Japan, the Marunouchi Hotel was the final stop on our journey—and what a spectacular way to end our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the hotel's understated elegance, impeccable service, and attention to detail. Every aspect of our stay reflected the gracious hospitality for which Japan is known. The accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, providing the perfect place to rest and reflect on all the memories we had made during our travels. The breakfast deserves special mention. Quite simply, it was one of the finest hotel breakfasts we have ever experienced. The quality, variety, and presentation were exceptional, and each morning felt like a celebration of both Japanese and international cuisine. It became a highlight of our stay and something our family looked forward to each day. What truly sets the Marunouchi Hotel apart is the feeling it leaves you with. It manages to be both luxurious and welcoming, sophisticated yet warm. After visiting multiple cities, countless temples, beautiful countryside landscapes, and spending precious time with family, we arrived expecting a nice hotel. Instead, we found an experience that exceeded every expectation. Our stay was unforgettable and provided the perfect conclusion to a deeply meaningful journey through Japan. We left with full hearts, wonderful memories, and immense gratitude for the hospitality we received. If you are visiting Tokyo and looking for a hotel that combines exceptional service, comfort, elegance, and an outstanding location, I cannot recommend the Marunouchi Hotel highly enough.

Perfect location with direct access from Tokyo station and subway lines (otemachi, hibiya, ...) The hotel staff was very helpful with answering questions and reaching out to restaurants that required a japanese number (note: requires signing an agreement to handle cancellation fees at check-in). Breakfast was good but I wished for some variety in the hot dishes. Rooms could have better sound insulation, as the train station was clearly audible late night and early morning. Nothing disturbing but if the windows are ever renovated noise is something to tackle. No dairy free options for coffee in the morning are something we dearly missed (soy, oat).

Location is phenomenal. Nothing sub par. The food was par.

Went for the least expensive room as we were only there for one evening before leaving Tokyo. The location is great especially for walking with four suitcases across the street to catch the Narita Express to the airport. There is an underground walkway in the basement level of the hotel that connects it to the subway system. Also the basement level has great bakeries and stores so no need to eat at the hotel. They were going to charge us about $140.00 for a late checkout of 1:00 instead of 12.

We had to catch the Tohoku Shinkansen to Kanazawa that originates at Tokyo Station. The station is within east walking distance so we were able to avoid the rush hour crowds by leaving early. We paid for breakfast but were unable to have it because we left so early. The staff prepared us an excllent lunch bag for pickup before we left. What a thoughtful and extra bit of service. The price does not match the quality of the room we stayed in. Even considering high Tokyo price there are cheaper option available.

Clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating.plus the location right next to Tokyo station with underground access you can get anywhere. Nothing, great hotel.

Location Price is high but room is small

I love the location — just a one-minute walk from Tokyo Station and only a few minutes’ walk from an enormous variety of restaurants and cafés. I also really appreciated the kindness of the staff.

If you are taking the Shinkansen this is a very convient location and close to the imperial palace.
