OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka by Hoshino Resorts

We truly enjoyed out stay at the OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka by Hoshino Resorts. It is conveniently located at 2-3 min walking from the Otsuka JR station. and surrounded with many of stores (like Uniqlo, Don Quichote), convenient stores and many restaurants options. The hotel offers many interesting free activities to hang out or discover the area and have authentic experiences and I strongly recommend to take advantage of those. The staff was very kind and friendly and was easy to communicate with. The hotel offers many free bathroom amenities and access to washing and drying machines, wich you can pay with coins or through an app. The rooms was of a good size for Tokyo and the loft configuration makes it quite functional. As petite women (5’2”) this worked perfectly, but I could imagine this might become tiring for a taller person. It could become challenging for 3+ adults with suitcases. Steep-ish stairs must be used to access the bed loft and it isn’t possible to stand up once up the stairs: we basically “crawled” our way into and out off bed. The futon beds were comfortable, and the loft area also had night lights and outlets for our phones. The hotels offers delicious breakfast options. We enjoyed our stay overall and would definitely come back.

Almost everything! The room is nice; The location is great; There's enough amenities, and the staff are all so nice! If there's one, or two things, it's that the rooms aren't very senior-friendly because of the stairs that you'll need to climb to get to the beds. It's also not the best choice for people who are tall because the ceiling is quite low, and my parents kept hitting their heads.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Our room was quite spacious for Tokyo hotel rooms. The location is perfect, few minutes away from the train station!

It was very modern, close to the station, friendly staff, and a wonderful breakfast at the lobby. The rooms were spacious and unique. I liked everything about the property. Will book again.

This hotel was in a good location, the staff were friendly, the room was clean, the breakfast was fine, and the decor was stylish and welcoming. The main drawback is the bunkbed situation. The room would have been perfect if there were no bunkbed in it. As it was, we all hit our heads multiple times on the bunkbed. There was a bumper added to the bunkbed, as this obviously had happened to others in the past. Even so, it really hurt even with the bumper! And it hurt our backs to have to constantly bend over, both on the lower level and the upper level. So I would give this hotel a much better rating if the bunkbed were removed. (And on a minor note, the coffee and tea need improvement. We had to go elsewhere for coffee and tea. A plain hot black tea option and better coffee would have been great! Small things, but a comfort for foreigners away from home.)

Ambience, and design was perfect Nothing

The location was perfect. Steps away from Otsuka station, in a rather quiet and well served neighbourhood. Wish we could have stayed longer, but it was booked up!

Fantastic location—two minutes away from a train station on a very convenient line. Good price. Great, big workspace in the lobby. Quiet and very friendly staff. The loft beds are cute in theory but can feel cramped. Laundry dryers are pretty slow, and there are only two,so the waits can be long. And while the workspace is great, there aren’t outlets.

Close to transit and some restaurants. Decent breakfast. Noisy. Hard bedding. Difficult to control temperature in room.

The location and clean. We will definitely come back. Nothing at all!

Everything was really easy. The hotel is close to Otsuka station and it was convenient. There's everything in Otsuka station such as restaurants, bars, convenience stores, Karaoke, a book store etc... Nothing

food is too simple and too small

Location was great. Literally a few mins walk to the Otsuka station. There's a Family Mart and a 7-11 nearby as well as McDonald's in case one gets hungry in the evening or early morning. Staff was very nice and appreciate them taking our luggage early as we arrived in the morning before check-in. They had daily amenities to use (e.g. toothbrushes, hairbrush, slippers, etc.) which was great. While the rooms was able to accommodate 3 (2 adults, 1 tween), there was no place to sit and eat. We had the 2 bunks above and the futon below it. The rooms were an 'L' shape so difficult to have a table with chairs to sit, talk, relax, or to eat on. Other than that, the room was fine.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for transportation and food. I would recommend staying at the hotel. It was nice to stay in a traditional hotel rather then a larger chain. We enjoyed the free juice out every day and the supplies for your room were available for you to take. They had an ice machine and a water machine. The laundry was cheap to use.
