Good location. It’s dated. The bathroom was like being in an RV all plastic. To get into the tub was a little challenging since it was about 2 feet high. The bed and pillow were hard as a rock.

Excellent value for money. Quite premium service, for relatively cheap. The room we got was excellent, with a good view, and it was comfortable. The facilities are very good, they have pretty much everything you might need, such as a space to hold luggage for free, chargers and plug adapters, scales for weighing your luggage... The location was decent, but honestly not as good as it looks on the map. It's 7 minutes from the nearest metro station, and ~15 to Shinjuku station, which sounds like it's not much, but it's pretty much the furthest you can be from a station in central Tokyo. Still, being in Shinjuku means there's things to do and places open a lot of the time, so you're not as dependent on the last trains as in other neighborhoods of Tokyo. The area around the hotel has a bad reputation. It was not at all dangerous, but it was quite dirty, especially for Japan. The breakfast didn't have much variety, and the foods that it did have were mostly not that tasty, and frankly really heavy for so early in the morning (eg fish). Speaking of breakfast, it closes wayyyy too early, it's at 6:30-9:00. Likewise, check-out is also very early, at 10:00am (with check-in being at 15:00), and housekeeping also starts at 10:00am.

To begin with, the staff is not friendly. In particular, I would like to highlight the employee Suzuki. From our interactions, she was quite rude, impolite, and unhelpful. The room is extremely small, the air conditioning didn't work well, it only blew cold air, and it was very cold. The bed is extremely hard, it feels like a rock. Practically none of the staff spoke English and they seemed bothered, especially Suzuki, by me speaking English with them, naturally... I don't speak Japanese. She could have been more helpful, given that she works at a hotel reception, but I was practically ignored and she rolled her eyes. I didn't feel comfortable or welcomed. Lastly, when I asked for any service, the first thing they said was the price, late check out, breakfast, whatever… not very polite. I’m sure that for that price, you can find a serious hotel who is actually happy to have you and not bothered by your presence.

Very helpful staff. They spoke English and assisted me with luggage forwarding. Excellent location with many restaurants, shops, bakeries, and grocery stores nearby. It's easy walking distance to all Shinjuku attractions and the Higashi-Shinjuku station which has local trains that can get you anywhere else.

Hotel is clean and near to metro like 10 minutes walk. None.

Free Breakfast was amazing! Plus the water station and the free coffee was very nice. What I didn't like was the pillows and the bed. They were both pretty hard. The bed had little padding and the pillows were just kind of hard. Also the area was a bit far from the main train stations. Also not the hotels fault, but I accidentally got a smoking room and when I tried to change it after check in they had no rooms left so had to stay on a super smoke smelling room and floor. Please make sure you don't have a smoking floor before booking

Hotel was clean. Staff was helpful and nice. Provided breakfast was much appreciated. nothing really. In Shinjuku, you expect the surrounding area to be what it is.

I loved the daily breakfast options, they were always delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever I needed assistance. The room was clean and the perfect size, I appreciated the free toiletries in the lobby also. The location has a 7-11 in front, which was fantastic, but sits on a slight hill so getting there from the Shinjuku station with my luggage was tiring after a long plane ride (that’s my fault though, I should’ve booked a taxi). I also appreciate how eco-conscious they are! The mattress was too firm for my liking, so it was hard to sleep the first few nights. Additionally, you only get 1 pillow, which I found odd that we couldn’t request at least 1 more but we got daily towels without being asked (which require a lot of washing, so contradicts the eco consciousness a bit).
