Dormy Inn Premium Kanda

The breakfast, size of hotel, and location. Our room for 2 was super tiny. Our si gle friend had a room that was much bigger. Our room looked out to another building, and her room had a street view. We paid the same price.

Dormy Inn Premium Kanda was a pleasant surprise. I had never been to Japan and didn't know the chain, but the staff were excellent, the room was larger and more comfortable than expected, and the public bath on the top floor was most excellent - it's the feature my wife loved the most. Fully stocked, covered and open-sky pools, cold plunge bath, spa, lots of shower stalls (Japanese style). They even provided lounge clothing to wear around the hotel (no charge), which made the trips to the baths even easier. I'm guessing this was more of what is expected in Japan, but it was our first time. The location was also better than expected, as it was almost across the street from Akihabara (5 minute walk), less than 10 minute walk from two different train lines, and there were a number of reasonable eating places close by. My only gripe was that the full mattress had a noticeable dip in the center, and we had to get used to sleeping against the slope. Despite that, we slept well on it, so I'm very happy with the whole experience. The dip in the middle of the full mattress - we had to get used to sleeping against the slope.

Excellent accommodation near Akihabara

The hotel staff were very helpful with my package delivery and made the process smooth and convenient. The hotel was very clean, and the room was comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious with a great selection of food. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to others.

Small and tiny Tokyo style hotel Uncomfortable pillows in my opinion

Nice location, close to many train lines. Facility is really nice, the hot spring is lovely. Also has laundry service. Room is a bit small but plenty for one person. For 2 may be tight.

Very good location, good onsen after a long day

Quiet location but close to active ones, clean. Onsen is smaller than the other Dormy I stayed in, but more aesthetically pleasing. Staff was accommodating. 2nd floor has a small space to relax off the lobby. All good.

The location was very close to a subway station. The room was incredibly small and almost claustrophobic for two people. There was an onsen in the hotel, but the instructions mention “no tattoos and no drunks” allowed in the hotel onsen. Considering that it’s a modern downtown hotel with a high number of foreign tourists from all corners of the planet who have tattoos for all kinds of reasons and clearly aren’t members of the Yakuza, this rule is absolutely unnecessary, ridiculous and offensive to guests who paid to stay in the hotel.

I really love the hair dryer. I want to know the name of the dryer.

Roomy for Tokyo, has a separate area in entry that has door from bedroom, which was convenient for us because son slept late. Near subway station. Facilities a bit old.

The bath on the top floor was great and had very flexible hours. Bath instructions were posted in English. The location makes it super easy to get to JR and subway lines. There's a 7-Eleven on the first floor of the building for any snack or food needs.

Location and the real natural Hot Spring water. The interior it’s just Standard

Located close to both metro and train stations. The breakfast was good with a nice selection. The room is large compared to some hotels in Tokyo; we had room for two hard suitcases (carry-on size) to lay flat without much trouble. A small convenience store is located in the same building as the hotel and can be reached easily by stepping briefly outside.
