Clean, good location, great staff

Location is very strategic, right in the heart of Ueno and very near train stations. House attire is provided for free and use of sauna with towels and toiletries is free. The unlimited curry rice is filling and a money saver. Online queries were never answered. I asked for extra pillow and no response. But they did give me a lower bunk. Staff should smile more especially to foreign tourists

Very affordable and convenient location. The complimentary curry rice was delicious. Smell from smokers permeated around the facilities.

Can not keep luggage in the room, always have to ask the front disk to reach your own luggage. Onzon is under maintenance so limit time of use.

The best things about this place are the common area facilities. The lounge is quite nice if you need to work or just kill time before bed in the capsule area where complete silence is expected. The toilets were pretty good - completely contained cubicles with no gaps in the doors. The capsule area itself was very stuffy. I don't think I was the only with a blocked nose - other guests were blowing their nose the whole night, and yes, you can hear everything else everyone is doing, including chronic smokers constantly coughing and clearing their throat. The shower cubicles, while nice they were separate and not communal, also suffered from a lack of ventilation. It was impossible to get completely dry before moving to the locker room. Benches to sit your luggage while you access and move things around would be nice. You need to do everything on the floor.

The Free facilities are Top notch, the onsen is Amazing (but note timing is split between male and female so check the timetable), towels & pajamas/onsen clothes provided for free, massive library/canteen area with 2 free drinks provided upon check in and free free flow jap curry rice All Day Long and Tons of free Jap manga for reading, there's some private booths even for you to work, all bathroom essentials provided even lotions and feminine care. I stayed in the capsule hostel, luggage storage with lick is provided, and the capsule is comfortable. There's also private rooms if you prefer. All facilities are super clean as expected. The location is also Amazing. 5minutes walk to Ueno Ameyoko street, and less than 10minutes walk to Ueno station. The onsen is split timing between female and male, need to check the timings and day. Big luggage need to be stored near lobby if you are staying in the capsules. It was a bit troublesome. Just make sure you have a smaller carry on bag with all your essentials to be brought up to your hostel floor. They don't provide luggage storage service after checkout or prior to check in. However just less than 1 Minute walk away there's a paid luggage storage service for reasonable price and convenient online booking (radical storage, store at yamanato express store)

Love everything about the place!

Ots still a hostel and still needed to move your things into lockers. But that was provided and staff was also willing to hold bags at the front desk if needed.

It was a lovely stay! They provided with everything i needed! Dorms are very quiet and bathrooms very clean. I definitely recommend the accommodation for any solo traveler?
