Sakura Hotel Nippori

The room is quite old and there are stains on the walls and tatami. Very, very noisy at night because of people being loud on the hallways.

Sakura Hotel. It is my first time to stay in a hotel with shared bathroom, and this is totally fine with me. Sakura Hotel is clean. Though room is small, which I know most of this type of hotels in Tokyo are small, we managed to stay, sleep well. I, my niece, and my nephew enjoyed the room and facilities in Sakura Hotel. Balcony is a plus factor. It is close to Nippori Station, Family Mart, & 7-11. Thank you Sakura! We stayed 3Nights 18-21 June 2026. One of the staffs learned my niece's birthday and she promised to give her 'something' for her birthday. Sadly she maybe forgot it or what, till we checked-out from the hotel. She (my niece) should supposedly keep her picture in their lobby/reception. Anyways.. reason to come back again maybe, soon. Thank you Sakura!

Very close to Yanaka Ginza and Sendagi Station. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was simple but delicious. I wish toiletries (bath slippers, toothbrush etc) were provided free of cost

The price was an absolute bargain for everything Sakura offered. Not only was it affordable, it came with a free meal, clean and spacious rooms/ amenities, and we had a balcony view of Tokyo Skytree. N/A

One of our rooms did not have enough towels and sheets for the 3rd person on the sofa.

Located in a lovely neighborhood, they have helpful and friendly staff.

disgusting hotel, the smell was unbearable

Biggest reason for a mixed review was the smell in the room. I guess it was the mats, but no other stay with tatami mats smelled bad. I had to sleep with the door open and bed moved close to the air. I was sad it was my last experience and night but at least it was only one night. The staff was very nice.

I only took one star away because the doorways are kinda short and I hit my head on it walking out of my room in the morning ? Also I think a simple miso soup option would be quite welcome in the breakfast.

Very nice hotel with super cool 24-hr cafe on 1st floor that serve delicious food and drinks (especially Yonaki Udon) and various type of beer from around the world. Great location from both Nippori station and shops (they provide a very cute map showing interesting spots for you near the reception.) Coin washing machine and dryer close to the hotel which is very convenient. Highly recommend this place.

Great location right next to Yanaka shopping street. Because majority of the floor was tatami, it was hard to fit both a suitcase and stroller inside the room.

Location was right near Yanaka Ginza and lots of neat shops and restaurants! Less than 5 minutes from the nearest station and less than 10 from the Yamanote line. Facility was clean and comfortable, room was basic but private with a futon/couch.

Rooms are old, but clean. All the young Spanish speaking kids hang out and greet everywhere, makes me feel out of place. However this place is not priced as a hostel, it's no cheaper than other locations.

Girls only shower area allowed for a more peaceful stay, as well as having the cafe in the building meant I did not have to leave for food after a tired day. Showers are not cleaned daily as a guest left their used contacts in the shower and when I went to use the same shower the next day it was still there. Pillows are extremely uncomfortable as they are stuffed with straw. Anything that would compliment a regular hotel room (slippers) are an extra change although it is only 200¥.

Cozy, affordable, the cafe is awesome, and Nippori is such a wonderful neighbourhood. Can get noisy outside, and some guests can be noisy in the shared facilities.
