The location was excellent. The room was very well soundproof that we could barely hear noise from the street. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel has pajamas for guests to wear and they are lovely, however, a little too thick for the summer, so we were not able to take advantage and wear them.

Great location, with the train station just a short walk away, making it easy to get around and explore the area. There were also plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, giving us lots of dining options without having to travel far. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything was tidy and provided a pleasant place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. We would happily recommend it to others visiting the area. Nothing

I ended up with back pain because the beds weren’t comfortable.

The room amenities, comfort and layout were amazing. So many staff at breakfast running around but could not keep breakfast stocked when not even busy. They’d put rolls out but they wouldn’t notice the butter was out. Had empty jugs vessels of water just sitting there but never refilled them. Would have to ask 2-3 times for more of something. Not a way to wake up. This was a daily problem for 4 mornings with all the buffet items. Caused so much unnecessary ups and downs from the table which also lead to so many plates accumulating on the tables since diners have to go up separate times to get the missing items. Reactive staffing of the buffet instead of proactive.

The location was great, the staff was very helpful, and the hotel room had a lot of space, even for 2 people with multiple baggage! The whole room was squeaky clean and the cleaners did their best in accommodating us. I had booked this hotel without knowing much and without doing a lot of research but it seems I was very lucky in landing this amazing hotel! The toilets were very basic - I have no idea why they used the most basic model in such a chic hotel but they did. Also, we could really use a coin laundry service but they did not have any.

Great hotel and the location. The bar on the top floor offers great food, cocktails, and awesome craftsmanship. The view from the terrace is also fantastic.

Fourth time at The Gate, it's my go to in Tokyo. Love the area, clean rooms, great staff, great breakfast. If only there were a gym or a partnership with a gym! But otherwise no complaints

The room was good and spacious. Its right in front of a place where Sumo tournaments happen. The back faces the Sumida River. Nice place to sit around with a coffee in evening. Nothing.

The thoughtful note and token for our engagement ? A lovely roof terrace where you can sit outside and drink. Room is plain snd stylish. Great location for the Hokosai Museum, the newly opened Tokyo Edo Museum, Sumo area. A lovely garden next door. We wanted to book a lunch but fully booked for a week!
