Tokyu Stay Shimbashi (Ginza area)

location to subway was excellent Room was smaller than expected but adequate for two. the widow coverings did not block light. Needs blackout curtains

This hotel offers a luggage service from the airport to the hotel. As soon as we landed in Haneda, we dropped off our luggage and it was delivered. I had even mistakenly put the wrong Tokyu Stay location in the booking, and the hotel called the delivery service to correct my error and make sure it was sent to the right location. That’s beyond great hospitality and accommodation in my opinion and gave me a great first impression of the hotel. They provide pyjamas and all skincare amenities I needed, and both the bed and pillows were so comfortable! I’m already looking for those pillows to buy to bring home. The in-room laundry was unbeatable and I can’t imagine booking without one now. The hotel was in a great location about a 5 minute walk to Shimbashi station, and a 15 minute walk to Ginza. The staff at the hotel were lovely and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. They also helped us with forwarding our luggage to our following hotel. It was our first ever time visiting Japan, and choosing Tokyu Stay as our first hotel made the beginning of our trip seamless.

It was close to the station and main areas. I like the coffee machine at the lobby. The hotel was very clean and staff was very helpful. The washing machine in the room was perfect for long stays. The cleaning was not enough. The housekeeping should be in less days.

The biggest pluses for me about the room are the individual washing/drying machines for laundry and the powerful A/C (cooling). Having a washer/dryer means you don't have to bring so many clothes with you and therefore can shop more in Tokyo! The powerful A/C is great during the hot season in Tokyo. There was free coffee and water dispenser at the ground floor, which is nice so are some free toiletry stuff at the ground floor. Staff was friendly, one even helped with the laundry machine in my room. The number one thing that I did not like is the room had a faint bad smell. I was going to complain and get a new room but the scent was very faint and in only a section of the room. I visited with family and the other rooms did not have this smell at all. Shame that they didn't clean my room as well as the others, but again the smell was very faint and I have a sensitive nose, but still. Also my room was facing the railways, so I can hear the train and it is noticeable, not unbearable, but noticeable. A few minor annoyances, disposable cups should be re-filled immediately at the free coffee and water station at the ground floor. I experienced a few times when there were no cups and even one time when the coffee was unavailable (due to running out of beans). Since the station is right in front of the reception desk, they should be more on top of this making sure that the station is stocked at all times, especially during peak hours in the morning.

Location , walkable from Ginza, all train lines. Best for tourist though it is a business hotel.washing machines and microwave in the room is such a convenient Very calm neighbourhood

Property is conveniently located near 2 train stations and 711. Staff were kind and accommodating.

Great location very close to Shimbashi station and all of the delicious izakaya that a lot of the salarymen visit! It's one train stop away from Tokyo Station which is the major Shinkansen hub. The room is what you would expect from a small Japanese hotel, but the location is excellent and it's more than enough for my one night stay. The room was quite small like a typical Japanese hotel

Good location and a clean comfortable, small room. A little cramped.

Compact, as with many Tokyo hotels, but having a clothes washer/dryer in the room was great. The hotel is a short walk away from the vibrant Shimbashi Station area, and a walk or quick subway ride away from Ginza, Yurakucho, Tokyo Station, etc. The hotel could definitely improve its breakfast buffet. It is not good value.
