The hotel is located up a sloped path from the JR station. It requires a bit of a walk, but the distance is manageable and acceptable. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised—it’s a charming, small boutique hotel. Although the room was on the smaller side, the layout was quite efficient and well-thought-out. My favorite part was the bathroom; it was incredibly spacious, and the beautiful tile patchwork gave it a strong sense of design. The breakfast in the morning, while simple, featured very fresh ingredients. Everything seemed perfectly fine until checkout, when I was hit with a major "shock." I discovered two distinct bloodstains on the bedsheets I had been sleeping on for the past two nights. When I went to the front desk to complain, the only response I got was, "We are very sorry, we will reinforce our staff training." And that was it... no further action or real resolution.

Very easy walk to the train station. Very friendly staff! Amazing pizza restaurant just a block away. The breakfast was a bit small and the lobby area also.
-
A bit awkward having the toilet and shower be directly in front of the bed, but at least there are privacy curtains. No laundry option, TV is very limited, a bit pricey.

Love the corner room.

Location, comfortable beds, helpful staff

Location and cleanliness None

- complementary coffee - room wasn't very functional, for instance, the toilet was separated by glass and a curtain - awkward cleaning times, mostly in the evening

The breakfast was surprisingly delicious and we enjoyed all of the little amenities and cold brew coffee on-demand when we were adjusting to the timezone. The location is good with easy access to trains and walkable to other neighborhoods. I really liked the pajamas. The staff didn't seem as knowledgeable as we might like or expect at the price point. They struggled to help us book a dinner reservation preferring that we use tabelog. A few staff members were downright unpleasant right away, never giving us a chance - perhaps because we didn't speak Japanese very well. I understand that we are foreign but we were always polite and humble. We absolutely hate the whole Ace Hotel picture-view shower, how needlessly weird. If this is romantic, it's news to me. We heard Tokyo hotels are small, but the bathroom was easily the size of the bedroom, which isn't a great use of space. Generally, we just didn't have a lot of places for our stuff, lacked hangers in the open closet area. Weird dust on things.

Super location. Close to metro station. Lots of cafes, bars around. The breakfast facility is quite limited

Great location, clean and beautiful rooms (and amenities) and friendly staff. Lobby always has coffee and hot water for tea available which is everything after returning from long walks through the city. And definite plus is the incredible Ginza Steak restaurant downstairs! Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast wasn’t my favorite, but could always find something to nibble on.

I really dislike this hotel. 1) My room is on the 3rd floor, and there is a strong smell of barbecue smoke inside because there is a barbecue restaurant downstairs. I checked some reviews and found that the hotel has been claiming since 2014 that they are renovating the ventilation system, but the issue still hasn't been resolved. 2) The room is very unclean, especially the bathroom. The toilet and sink have visible black stains that have accumulated over the years. 3) I booked this room almost two weeks in advance through Booking.com for nearly $200 per night. This room is not worth the price.

However, the true highlight was the exceptional service. Every single staff member I encountered—six people in total throughout the day—was proactive, friendly, and genuinely helpful. For example, when my contact lens case was accidentally discarded during room cleaning, I notified reception; within five minutes, they had purchased a replacement and delivered it to my door. The staff consistently went above and beyond, making for a truly seamless stay.

Dark rooms, thin walls. I could hear my neighbor coughing etc. I was on a lower floor (3) and the room had strong smells from the restaurant below in my room. I asked for a change to a higher floor. It was better.

The location was nice in a fairly quiet neighborhood away from the commotion of the city. Expensive price per night for what you get. The rooms are small and the breakfast was mediocre at best. would not stay here again for these reasons.

Great hotel with modern rooms located in a quiet area but just one metro stop from Shibuya. Great staff, very helpful and accommodating. Nice to have the option for some breakfast too. Rooms are quite small by western standards, but they are well appointed.

Location and comfortable Poor choice for breakfast and low quality of coffee
