Pearl Hotel Shinjuku Akebonobashi

The hotel and room were super clean, no complaints at all. The room was serviced daily which was great and something we were grateful for. The location was good as it was one stop away from the main area of Shinjuku and the hotel was a 5/10 minute walking distance to 2 different stations. For 2 people the room would be great. The rooms were very small, especially for our family of 4 adults. We were squashed and had nowhere to keep our luggage. We basically had them on the floor and were walking around and over the top of them. Bathroom space was limited on areas to keep belongings and hang used towels etc. The breakfast was very ordinary with not many options and cold food, and one of the staff took the coffee machine and other food away prior to breakfast finishing. Not suitable accommodation for 4 people.

Clean. At 6 minutes walking to metro station. Staff is very rigid.

Breakfast needs improving

Hotel provided anything needed and great location! Was a bit worried for some of the reviews but this place exceeded my expectations. They cleaned our room daily! Maybe that there wasn’t any complementary water bottles

Easy to get to. Lots of options for breakfast. Lots of amenities and restaurants nearby.

Great quiet location with a neighborhood feel. Plenty of cafes and shops accessible. Breakfast was average.

It was well communicated with nearby Shinjuku district. It was clean and the staff was helpful. Convenience stores nearby. Good location for the money and less crowded. Small room, but that is Tokio. Not much to eat or see around, but it wasn’t too crowded this way.

Location. It’s near to everything - train station, convenient stores, local shops, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. We can easily go to the heart of Shibuya/Shinjuku. We love the quiet neighborhood vibe where the hotel is located. Room size is quite small but that’s how it is in Japan, so it’s ok too. It’s very good for its price so we would consider staying there again if we’re visiting Tokyo again. They could probably improve / add on the food choices at their restaurant. It’s too limited. BUT the good thing about the location is that there are nearby convenience stores and restos so it makes up for limited food in the hotel.

Breakfast had a poor selection and was exactly the same every morning - don't expect a western style of breakfast. There was a kettle but no mugs, glasses or cups in the room - you are only offered plastic dixie cups even if you ask. There was no tea or coffee available in the room, only powdered green tea in the lobby. The rooms were small-ish and had no area to store clothing or suitcases, no shelves, closets, cabinets, etc, only hangers, don't expect to be able to unpack your luggage.

This is a lovely residential area very much unlike Shinjuku proper.. i.e. near the station. It is close to 3 metro stops - Akebonobashi is the nearest. There are loads of lovely restaurants nearby ... Nice bars and not at all crowded... Unusually I used a taxi on my last morning and though the lovely staff ordered it at 9.05 they had to call again at 9.35am - do not the hotels fault but just a heads up

The hallway AC was either not working or they didn't turn it on

Near train station The breakfast menu never change from Day 1 to my last Day. Always serve Hamburg, Pork Sausage, scramble egg and Vegetable salad. See pic

It is near to the mrt and convenient (just 3mins walk away). Sukiya is open 24-hrs for your late night snack. none

I loved everything about my stay here! It was very comfortable. Great location near a metro station, and plenty of walkable eateries, businesses, etc nearby. Staff was fantastic too.
