The staffs are very good customer service. They're excellent.

There was a smell of cigarette smoke in the room so I always had the humidifier turned on.

Great stay. The hotel is well located in a quiet area easy walking distance from the train station. The room was very comfortable, clean, well appointed and private. Desk staff were absolutely great and always helpful. Plenty of restaurants and shopping around the area, which is a nice quiet place in Tokyo free from crowds and noise. But, the location offers great access to the tourist stuff, bright lights and all Tokyo has to offer. Price was most reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Keep in mind it's a love hotel, not a bordello. Any moral qualms, book elsewhere. But nothing during my stay which would affect the senses or sensibilities of anyone. It's a well run and comfortable place in a great location.

Spacious and and clean room, separate bath and toilet, big Tv, very close to yamanote line ostuka station Honestly not really:) Only 1 small elevator. It is an adult only hotel (love hotel) and a little bit smell of smoke in the room—but all expected before booking so totally fine

Close to station Not enough free amenities despite for love birds
-
close to train station, extra channels on the TV, free water in fridge & condom & cigarette lighter, dimmer lights, big shower bit shabby, rubberized bed

For a short stay this place is pretty nice as far as love hotels go. The room didn't really smell like smoke. The bed was comfy and big. There was even room service which I was surprised to see. It's really close to the train station so getting around was super easy. The staff at reception were very nice. It's best to try keep the sheets and mattress cover on the mattress. There were some not so nice stains on the mattress itself (not the sheets to be clear) which was pretty gross.

Pros: - PERFECT location, ideal for traveling around Tokyo, with easy access to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akihabara, Ueno, etc. since it's next to Yamanote Line. Ikebukuro is 15-20 minutes walk away, too. - Services and stores all around it. There's a 24/7 Don Quijote almost in front of the hotel. Restaurants, karaoke, coin laundry places are also only a couple of minutes away. - Amenities are everything you can expect and more: clean towels, shampoo, body wash, disposable toothbrushes, disposable hairbrushes, face lotions, hairdryer, etc. They renew everything every time you ask for cleaning service. - Very clean, and cozy atmosphere. - Having to leave the key at the reception every time we went out turned out to be very convenient, as we could freely separate and come back to the hotel at different times without worrying about who has the room key. - Very helpful staff, some more friendly than others, but all of them polite. - No children! Cons: - Since it's a love hotel, you can hear a lot of noises at all times, like the staff cleaning in the middle of the night, and, well, the people next room having their fun loudly. - The bed was a bit too hard for me. (Maybe) Helpful tips: - Bring an extension cord with you and you won't have issues with the location of the outlets. - Get earplugs and the noise will not bother you. I have very light sleep, and earplugs solved the issue completely. - If you're bothered by the tobacco smell, something like a reed diffuser should help. You can get those in Don Quijote.

This is my second stay at hotel Moana and i am so glad of this decision. The hotel is literally just behind the Otsuka station. Hotel room is spacious with the comfiest bed ever. We had such a nice rest after a long travel. At night, we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. There were plenty of food, snack, drinks, shops around. We really did not have to take the train to anywhere to enjoy good food and good night. I will definitely stay at hotel Moana again whenever i come to Tokyo.

Hotel Moana by far the best place I have stayed during my Japan trip. The location is only 2 mins from the Otsuka train station on the Yamanote line. It resided on a quiet street corner. However, as you turn to the next street corner, there are plenty of restaurants, pubs, cafes and konbinis. The room I booked was a "small double room", but it was the biggest room I ever stayed in Tokyo. The bathroom was spotless, full of amenities. Bed was soft and comfy. You can open suitcases inside the room and still have room to move around. The room was not a non-smoking room, however, there was no cigarette smell when we entered. I first chose this hotel simply by its affordable price point, but it has surpassed all of my expectations. The receptionists printed out English instructions and make the best effort to communicate with us. I am very happy with their service and accommodation. there is nothing to complaint about.

Very nice Stay, everything offers is to the detail, will be back.

It's a Love Hotel so perhaps not for everyone, but for me it was great. Clean with nice personnel and multiple amenities, like food delivery (we didn't order anything), soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair band, comb etc. Nearby eateries, coffee shops and Otsuka station getting you straight to most attractive neighbourhoods. Would be happy to stay there again! - Slight smell of cigarettes, as many rooms are for smokers and ventilation can't hide it all. - Narrow area around bed, which is common in Japan, we had bagpacks so it was fine but with big suitcases would be a problem to find a good spot on the floor to open them.

Pleasant

noticed this is a smoking hotel before booking. But the smoke smell is unexpected strong that it could get away during our 3 nights' stay where we turned on the air purifier 24/7.
