The place had a lovely garden and a nice parking attendant (we drove to Napoli). The place had convenient access to Napoli, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and Capri! A few really nice restaurants with very reasonable prices! You can get everywhere by train or ferry. The Americas Cup is coming in 2027 and this would be an excellent place to stay!

Aldo is a great and very inviting host who enjoys sharing his profound knowledge about the area, its archeological heritage, its history and its many hidden treasures. He is passionate about his very beautiful citrus garden (which is a great place to have breakfast or just relax). The rooms are in an old Palazzo and are themed after local mythology and history, and are full of beautiful details. We hope to come.back one day!

We were absolutely amazed by Garden Hotel. The owners are extremely friendly, warm and caring people. Everything in our apartment was made with love and meaning. They thought about every little detail. The host gave us many good advices what to visit, where to eat and how to get to some places. It felt like we have family in Italy! The garden is two hundred years old and also very beautiful. We were sorry to leave this hotel and this small cozy city. Next time we go to Italy, we definitely stay there again. Thank you for your kindness and for making us feel at home! Buena vita♥️ Best regards, Maria and Aziz

The location is very handy to travel to Naples or Sorrento… plus other areas. Nothing really.

Our stay was a really good experience. First of all, everything what was advertised, it is true, as it is. The host, Aldo is very nice and communicative. If you have plans, but you are not sure, how can you make it happen, he will tell you exactly how can you achieve it. He will also tell you very useful information about things that you have no idea, that you should ask, but are still important to know. And this adds a lots of extra value to the place, because thanks to this, you are not just receiving lodging for your money, but also very good hints and understanding of the area, and how things are working there. Being a tourist somewhere was never this easy before. The room was really cozy and very well equipped. Having a desk there is a really nice touch for someone like me, who is not going anywhere without a laptop and gadgets. The kitchen is used commonly, which is sounds like a con first, but trust me, it will work out very well. But obviously, the best part is the garden. It looked very good from the photos, but in reality, it looks even more gorgeous and atmospheric. And about the area. Torre Annunziata is a very nice, small town, which wasn't discovered widely by the tourists yet, but has all potential for this in the near future. So if you go there now, you can be amongst the firsts, who is able to discover it, before it will go mainstream. Has a lot of authenticity, and a lot of things to do and see there. Excellent little restaurants and coffees, and if you like craft beer, a very good place, called Craft27. Has nice beaches, covered by shiney, black vesuvian sand and warm sea. And my favorite thing there, where history books become alive, Villa Poppea what is definitely worth to see. The town is also a good hub to easily visit other places, such as Naples, Pompei, Amalfi, Sorrento and Capri also can be reached from here.

The location is perfect for anyone wanting to visit the main historical sites, Pompeii and Herculaneum are both just two stops away on the local train, and there is the Villa Poppea Oplontis in the town itself, a world heritage site reputed to have belonged to Poppea, Nero's wife. The guest house itself is a beautiful, family owned 19thC villa with high ceilinged, well appointed rooms and with a lovely walled garden in which to relax. The shower was great, it took a little while to get warm but that was because it uses solar power, in fact Aldo the host tries hard to ensure the villa is as green and sustainable as possible. Bedding and towels are changed regularly. There is a small kitchen area for guests to use where light meals and snacks may be prepared, It has a microwave, toaster/sandwich maker, coffee machine, kettle and fridge, plus lots of crockery and cutlery. There is a kettle, cups, and tea and coffee in the rooms. Each room has their own table inside the main hallway at which to eat, or guests can use the several tables in the garden. Aldo the host is very friendly and helpful, he provides lots of local information and the guest house is part of a network which connects businesses in the area to provide discounts at local restaurants, beaches etc. Torre Annunziata itself is a lively town with a harbour and black volcanic sand beach. 30 minutes by fast train to Naples and 60 minutes on the local train to Sorrento. The kitchen area was a little small if several guests wanted to use it at once, however most seemed happy to stagger their usage time and it wasn't a real problem. The town itself, like many Italian towns, was a bit run down in places, and had quite a bit of litter, however, this seemed to be cleared most nights by the local refuse collectors. There seemed to be a bit of a variance as to what you were charged for drinks/food etc, but everywhere was welcoming and friendly.

Staying here was a dream! The host was amazing, welcoming, and attentive. If you’re looking for a special stay with a host who will clue you in to local spots you might not otherwise find on your own, this is your place! V. close to train, beach, nice restaurants. And the place itself is lovely. Super comfortable, beautiful garden, excellent beds and rooms…really a great experience.

It was very close to the station with trains for Napoli, Sorrento, Ercolano, Pompei etc. The host was so nice and very informative. It was close to a supermarket and there was a shared kitchen which we used a lot to make food to eat in the pretty garden. The location around the house is a bit rough, and since we had the room near the streets it was a bit noisy at night. But the house itself and its garden is a little pearl of niceness. The bed was a bit too hard for our taste and it became uncomfortable for us at times, it also had a very inconvenient split in the middle which is not ideal for couples. I think this might be easy to solve with a top madras.

Very good room in an area that was perfect if you want to visit Pompei, Sorrento and Napoli, just 10 minutes away from the metro. Aldo was super nice and made sure that we enjoyed our stay, gave us tips on whatever we could think to ask him. The guest house was also very close to the beach, which was nice when we wanted an afternoon och just relaxing. Absolutely recommend you staying here!

Where to start? Everything was absolutely amazing. How to summarize? You feel like home there! You start your journey with a warm and kind welcome from Aldo, the host, who will take his time to explain everything about the house, and above all the stunning garden, a hidden quiet place in a busy town! He will welcome you with products from his garden... delicious. Aldo and his wife are kind persons that we would like to meet everywhere. The place is very comfortable, clean, quiet, and cosy! Everything you need is there, you can use the shared kitchen which is very convenient if you don't want to go out at the restaurant sometimes. We spent a few days there, and it was a real pleasure sometimes to just chill and relax in the garden for dinner, with a plate of italian products bought at the local supermarkets, without noise from the restaurant or the bar. Aldo will take the time to give you a lot of advices about places to visit, beaches, local restaurants, and other plans... He will do his best to help you with anything and any question you have. It is only a 10 min walk to the train station, which is very convenient to go to Napoli, Pompei or Erculaneo. It is also only 10 min walk to the beach. This place is amazing and i would highly recommend it.

Spacious apartment with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Shutters in the bedroom helped to keep the light out and reduce the street noise. Pleasant garden to sit and relax in. Friendly and helpful hosts. Convenient location for shops, restaurants and bars and only 10 minutes walk to the railway line between Naples and Sorrento, thus allowing easy access to Pompeii and Ercolano. We opted for breakfast on a few of the days we were there and particularly enjoyed the fresh bread and their homemade lemon marmalade. Nothing

  • Engine customer Jul 2023

Loved the tranquility, such a peaceful tranquil place especially the orchard. Also after having a room in other parts of Italy it was lovely to have a spacious area like an apartment, bedroom living room, balcony and a terrace. Terrace had a table and chairs where we could have breakfast and dinner,we had takeaway a few times,so was very handy. Took longer to get to place's, but there is a train station about 15 minutes walk away.

We felt very welcomed by our hosts Aldo & Bruna. They were very accomodating e.g to make sure we could park our car, to give tips for things to see & places to have diner. Breakfast was great. And it is a perfect location to move to all the major tourist sites in the surrounding. Last but not least, we enjoyed the home-made Limoncello that Aldo served us. We had nothing to not like for this price/night.
