Light Hotel

They called me after I booked and took a taxi to tell me that no rooms were available... it's either their system or booking which has issues but they should work it and stop wasting people's money and time!

The hotel is close to restaurants and is easy to find on the map. The staff and the owner were also very accommodating and available most of the time. They made sure were catered well. They also allowed us to leave our things at the lobby while we were exploring the city.

It was a very good size room with a large double bed and lots of natural light. The bed was comfortable although slightly on the hard side for my preference, the room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location in a quiet street but with easy access to public transport to the city centre. The hotel is in real major need of some TLC. It almost has a neglected feel about it tbh. Very thin, damaged carpets, wallpaper peeling off the walls etc. Also, it seems sadly they allow people to smoke in the rooms as my room smelt of tobacco. It was okay for a couple of nights, but honestly, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Price - cheap | 25 USD a night. Allowed to bring guest from outside on payment of extra 50% of the room rent Cleaning once in 2 days, didn't even replace glasses. Rooms need maintainence, broken hinge in a drawer, the toilet and the sink structure was moving, the kettle in my room had rust inside. Breakfast - being a vegetarian the options were Bread, butter, nutella kind of thing, fruits and cookies. didn't find a toaster, Water bottles were not provided without asking. Wifi got disconnected frequently, when I asked the receptionist to change my room since I was having a network issue, he just looked at his wifi and told me it is working for me.

We had a doubts about cleaninests of the sheets. The staff replaced it immediately. Thank you. I expected more from the hotel, I could accept some of the things if that would be hostel. The staff doesn't communicate in english, the informations were passed mostly by pointing at things. The breakfast was very poor provided and for a self service/ self cooking in the kitchen located in the basement.

Very clean, big rooms and comfortable beds. Location is at walking distance to Seoul national park and very good restaurants. hotel is a bit hidden, we couldn’t find it on our way from airport with taxi. We called the property they didn’t answer, so we walked around it around 10 mins until we found it. Also, they don’t accept Visa card, even though it’s written they accept it. They have a POS machine but they don’t want to use it. Finally they accepted our card after so many calls. Service was minimal: they just pointed with finger to the door and not even giving us a key(no explanation or mention of the kitchen or food service available for example). We didn’t really feel welcomed. good breakfast but not much variety.
