Bubalus Boutique Rooms

The restaurant downstairs rents out 2 apartments upstairs. Both are decorated very well and are right in the old town. We stayed in the superior room, our friends in the one below. Served our needs! There were a few funny things about the room, all things the property could easily fix for future guests. The shower is gorgeous but has no curtain so water splashes into the room. There’s no mirror at the sink, just 3 tiny ones on arms. And it was great to have a fridge in the room, but it was super bright & we had to cover it with a towel. We also couldn’t find the owner to check out before leaving & ended up just leaving keys in the door. Check out time is very early in most of Croatia - 10am

Location is very good.

No parking and closest parking charges 5 euros per hour, ended up paying 55 euros for parking. Hot water only lasts for 5 min, very small water heater. Place is nice and authentic, but not maintained. Shower has no curtain, makes everything wet, on top of that shower head sprays to the ceiling and then from ceiling water gets everywhere in the bathroom. Tv has no actual stations to watch. Host did not give us a tour or anything, just handed us the keys and left, and then we left the door open, never met him on the way out.

Location, breakfast delicious but was told when to come rather than asked Hot water lasted less than 5 minutes, shower tray itself slippery and could be dangerous, no housekeeping, cold room, bathroom door awful (heavy wooden sliding door kept coming off the runners), no hand wash, no shower gel, weird mini fridge that smelled disgusting, everything felt faded, cluttered and dusty, windows on every side nice for ventilation but too light and could be noisy in summer

Great location, nice room, excellent staff and breakfast, many nice restaurants nearby, close to the airport. I would stay here instead of split if you are looking. In the short term, cleaning could be improved (someone's nail file in the corner of the room on the floor, squished mosquitos on the wall/ceiling, and a used razor propping open bathroom window). Long term improvements for coming seasons would include a shower curtain, more sound proofing, light proofing and a guest info book (sights, restaurants, wifi password, what to do if fuse blows etc).

Pleasant

The apartment is in a very good location in the heart of the small old town. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast and not only breakfast if you come back to Bubalus in the evening. The room is tidy and spacious. However, for the cosiness of the place in the city and the friendliness of the host, I would come back and I believe that where things can be improved, they will be done before you stay. Minus that you can hear everything outside the room walls, the evening life on the street and what is happening on the next floor. Be careful in the shower as the hot water comes out very quickly :).

Right in the heart of the old center, perfect for visiting the surroundings. Excellent breakfast, we also recommend his burgers. Slaven tries to make sure everything is ok.

I am a returning client, as I love this accommodation, the location is perfect, the host amazing, and the breakfast is super lovely :) And I will be back again for sure :)

Appearing industrial style You can sleep and have shower in room. No other facilities except hairdryer and small toy fridge in industrial style. Very loud area during day because of coffee shop under. I booked 5 days but because of family issues had to leave after 2 days. I asked for so.e sort of refund but did not get any respond from owner and from booking.com Very dissapointing

Food and drink in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meals was excellent. Owner on hand and helpful to advise of trips and alternative restaurants. Gave brilliant advice to get tickets to watch Hadjuk Split. The TV had a decent amount of channels and in English. Nothing really. The Old Town is aMAZEing so obviously finding your way back can be a bit of a struggle/laugh. Don't think we took the same route twice!

Great location. Beautiful shower, but needs a curtain. Owner assisted us with taking luggage up and down spiral stairs, which was appreciated. Aircon could have been switched on prior to arrival, owing to the heatwave. The room never really cooled down, we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed to feel some relief as the room is up in the eaves. The cooler air never reached the bathroom & toilet which remained a "sweatbox" overnight. Also, there is no shower curtain or door, so water poured all over the floor. And there is nowhere to place toiletries in the shower, apart from on the floor. Fridge was not operating either. A bottle of water in the room would be a nice touch. There was no sign of any wine, perhaps that was just for show? Coat hangers broken. I would call this "rustic" as opposed to "boutique". 3 stars and not 4.

Unexpectedly spacious room, very nicely designed, above the only calm and peaceful restaurant in Trogir, serving excellent food. Can highly recommend.

Room was spectacular in size Bathroom beautiful. Location was easy and perfectly easy to locate. Owner was lovely and his burgers at dinner were amazing! succulent amd moreish! I took his recommendation and it was spot on. Spiral staircase although wasnt many stairs.

The location was perfect for us - the heart of Trogir is an excellent place to stay. The facilities were just what we were seeking and the room was larger than we expected. The room was very peaceful and comfortable. Nothing really. Having researched with some care everything was fine

Comfy, perfect location and very close to the harbour side There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property but there was just one thing the curtain in the bathroom was broken

Charming little boutique property! They were even kind enough to help me get some laundry and ironing completed for my next travels. The breakfast was amazing and great communication and loved the charming area. :) can’t wait to return. Thank you
