Enkanta Hospedaje - Hostel

The staff was very nice and very attentive. Always willing to help and very informative. The place was in the heart of downtown Trujillo. A half-block from the central plaza, several restaurants, souvenir shops, and tour agencies. Also has several late-night eateries located nearby. The "room" was a three-bed partition in a long narrow hallway, with plywood walls and a corrugated roof through which large roaches would enter. There was not a well-defined "lights-out" time, as patron would regularly watch television or listen to the radio at full volume well past midnight. Additionally, the place is situated next to a banquet hall which hosted two parties during my stay, the music and noise went on until 3AM.

Unfortunately, the room I stayed in was far from suitable for couples. The ceiling is extremely high, 5 meters, but instead of feeling spacious, it makes the room feel cold and unwelcoming. There was a strong musty smell, and the tiny window barely provided any fresh air. The electrical outlets are loose, and the single small lamp is nowhere near enough to light the large space, leaving the room dark and gloomy. It’s clear that the room was originally a storage space converted into a guest room, and it shows—the atmosphere was uncomfortable and suffocating. Within just half an hour, I had to leave because I couldn’t breathe; the air felt almost nonexistent.

Very close to the Plaza Mayor No windows in the room. The smoke people smoking, get into the room and no ventilation.

Location was good and staff suggested a couple of excellent yours. Kitchen was dirty although this was due to other guests. A few signs to ask guests to clean up after themselves would not go amiss. Also the wash hand basin in the women's toilet had no running water.

It feels a bit dirty, I saw two cockroaches. No hot water in showers

The close distance to the centre of Trujillo. Everything was perfectly approachable. The rooms were comfy, the terrace invites you to spend the day. Good price, would visit again.

Good location, free breakfast, able to leave our bags after check out, value for money When we arrived we were told that some people had decided to stay an extra night so the double room we booked wasn't available and we were put into the dorm room instead. We had it to ourselves but separate beds and it was very dark and further from the bathrooms and still charged the same price. We moved into the double room for the 2nd night and it was better. Also someone (who I think lives there) in the room opposite was smoking in bed so the whole place smelled of cigarette smoke.

Location Couldn't breath in room..and very noisy family next door not stopping child crying all night..also people watching loud TV at 1am? Cold water always after telling me different.

Cheap accommodation located right in the center. Very nice hostel staff. The dorm room is very noisy and has no window. In general, the accommodation is a bit old.

The location is right next to the central square There are sockets only in one place in the room.

Very spesial place. Nice host. This is not really a hostel. They have a big room in a back yard. Roof is failing. Did not dare to use shower. Trash all over.

Excellent location, just a few steps from the center. Lots of shops and good restaurants nearby. Very affordable as well. Great value for money.

The host. She was nice. She allowed me to leave my suitcase in the storage while I went out in the city looking for clean room. Anfritonia my gentil y me permitio dejar mis maletas mientras busaba cuarto limpio. The attendant was nice but not knowledgeable about Trujillo. The place looked not maintained at all (homeless place) and very dirty with dusty sheets and smelling odors. The shared bathroom was also dirty. They charge for towels. So surprise and very disappointed! El Lugar estaba muy sucio con mucho polvo y mal olor. Las sabanas sucias. El bano igual de sucio cobran por uso de toallas. FUE UNA PESADILLA!

Clean bed, but nothing all, the WiFi was good and great location. With this price , better paid 10 USD more and get a private room and proper hotel No hot water, very dirty tables. There were tables to sit but all of them were full of dust and dirty. the staff don't bother to take few minutes to clean it, I don't understand how hard is that. The male dorm was very smelly and lack of ventilation, no fans nothing. The facilities were not good and bad conditions. They just used guest to get money and sustain their living , lack of responsibility.
