Filoxenia Hotel Zakynthos

I stayed with my fiancé at the time at Filoxenia Hotel in Tsilivi, and we had a really good time. The staff was very kind and helpful. It's an all-inclusive hotel, which is a plus too. They offer breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. The food was delicious and very fresh. The menu is created by the chef Stelios who was super friendly and kind. We definitely enjoyed our stay, and we're looking to visit it again in the future. We liked everything.

Great staff, newly furnished rooms, clean and modern Not suitable for families with kids!! Especially the second building where every night they have live music and events until 11 PM. The speakers are so loud it is impossible to go to sleep until they are obligated to turn the music down (Greece law). It was impossible for my 5 year old to go to bed before that time every night of our stay. When politely asking another room further away from the noise, they told me I was the only one to ever complain ( highly doubt that), which was deeply disrespectful . And that nothing else was available. Meal choices not enough, Food is basic.

I didn't like that I paid the government tax twice, I realized after I left!

Breakfast was good. The general quality of food was good, but not great. We loved the country location. There was no atmosphere in the restaurant in the evening. The lights were far too bright, bit like a waiting room. There was too much plastic being used for the drinks, reusable cups should be used.

Food was lovely with multiple vegetarian options every day. Two different pools, good selection of spirits in the bar. Fun floats for the pool. Salty shower water and the bar didn’t give shots!

The food was excellent, accommodation more than adequate, staff and location were exceptional. Nothing we didn't like. Everything was better than expected.

The hotel is nice and clean and our family accommodation was very spacious with two large bedrooms, both with a balcony and a small living area with fridge and bathroom. It was very basic but had everything we needed. Having the use of two pools was great, there was always a quieter pool and always sunlongers available. The pools were clean and beautiful. Pool bars at both pools had friendly staff serving drinks in plastic cups all day. Reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful The free shuttle bus to the beach and back was wonderful. Cleaning staff work really hard and were so friendly. Air con worked great Ice served with all drinks from bottles safe water The all inclusive dining was suitable for adults more than children. I have one young child who is a fussy eater and apart from chips there were no options he would eat. I had expected some pizza, nuggets, fish fingers or even plain pasta but we only saw small squares of pizza with spicy toppings on one day of our 7 night stay. Generally the food was rice, potatoes and different Meats in sauces. The salad bar was the highlight for me with fresh salads with feta and tzatziki. I had even hoped there would be different breads, greek flat breads or pitta which my son would eat but there was only a ciabatta, or possibly soda bread type loaf available, the same everyday. The snacks served between meals were also limited and nothing my son would eat. It would have been great to have a pool bat serving sandwiches, crisps and fries etc in the day even if we paid extra for it as it is too far to pop out for a snack somewhere else. The hotel is 15 minutes walk before you start to hit the main restaurants and bars. This doesn't sound like alot but in the heat it was really hard work and we are a young, fit family. We found we needed to walk 25/30 mins before reaching the main area and the land train to Zante town was a 25 min walk. Our room was directly above the pool at the main hotel. We found the hotel incredibly noisy, you could never have an afternoon nap because of the pool noise then the evening noise would start and I was often woken until 3am by talking outside. Whilst this was a nice basic, clean and friendly hotel by the end of the trip we were happy to be leaving. I understand the need for plastic cups however the amount of single use plastic was a concern for me.

staff are amazing, so nice, from the people of the reception up to the bartenders. lovely pool, food is amazing basically anything you need. if the AC was suitable I would have definitely be back i was looking for a place with an AC and i think its understandable. in a vacation which i am most of the day under the sun in the swimming pool you want some fresh breaks in the cold room and ofcourse in the sweaty night which was really hot and humid weather. unfortunately the capacity of the ac is so poor that i didnt feel it at all, so, despite all the other good things i mentioned, and all the rest was really good, the ac was a dramatic issue for me and decreased my comfort. i was literlly sweating in the night and was thinking to go to sleep in the swimming pool. the staff really tried to help and i even was suggested to move room- but then i realized that it is the same situation in any room, it was not even a technical problem- the whole ac system must be changed! if the ac system will be changed i will definitely be back and recommand because the place is really good so please take it in serious consideration.

Fantastic amenities, great renovated comfortable room, pool facilities and restaurant and bars. We had a fantastic 4 days there with the all inclusive package that included all meals (changed daily) snacks and basic alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms and all amenities are super clean. Genuinely great hospitality experienced throughout our stay Not much. If I had to be picky I’d say the safe usage should be included in the room package. If we didn’t have a car then the door lace is a little far to walk to the beach in peak heat

The food is exceptional here, you won't be disappointed. If you want extra comfort and quiet, and airco all hours, take the premium renovated room, they got comfy beds and it's all nicely renovated. Peaceful location , yet a small walk to Tsilivi town. Bus stop opposite. Parking.. the swimming pool is well maintained and spotless.staff are friendly, there are one or two miserable ones but 98% are super friendly and willing to help :) Could include basic cocktails in the all inclusive, and a better wine now and again ..

The staff, food, location. No Wi-Fi in the rooms or anywhere except from the lobby/reception area.

Pretty much everything, the variety of food and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Location 10/10 ? No running hot water in the shower for a day or two but got fixed in the end, toilets a bit run down.

Lovely small hotel exactly as expected. Staff all friendly and welcoming. Food choices were excellent . Communal areas clean , towels and bedding changed regularly. Although we knew it was a good walk to Beach seemed further than anticipated but lovely walk. Only criticism would be restaurant space when busy very difficult to navigate between tables with plates of food space very cramped.
