Total relaxed feel. Lovely surroundings in the general area and a nice terrace off from the room where you can sit and enjoy the jungle like feel. The pool was so warm and clean.
-
Felt like I was in the jungle just a block from the 307. Owners were on site and available. Bees and honey too! Easy walking distance to Palma Central.
-
Beautiful secluded enclave just off the main thoroughfare. Friendly welcoming staff. Great value. Excellent breakfast and excellent local dining in walking distance

I loved the calmness it gave me. And with the pool it was perfect. The bee experience was amazing and knowledgeable. Loved everything!!!

Really welcoming and friendly people. A small hotel kept with love and lots of details. Beautiful lush garden, lots of privacy and all you need for the room and the pool. They kindly changed my dates, stored my bag, helped me with travel arrangements and useful tips around Tulum. Rooms are spacious, beds are good, showers hot. Coffee maker in the room and hot/cold water refill available. Really, a great choice! It’s just a little out of main busy road, yet there are plenty of restaurants at walking distance and the advantage to be in a quieter area.

The room was decorated to perfection with lots of charm and character, and plenty of space to spread out. My son loved swinging on the hammock in the middle of the room. The pool was just a few steps from our room and a beautiful little oasis surrounded by flowering trees. Breakfast was delicious and included local honey.

Absolutely beautiful place, a lush oasis which is so colourful and well-kept. The room was spacious and very comfortable and the breakfast was well worth the extra cost. The owners are also really lovely and helpful! We actually extended our stay by one night and would definitely stay here again

Very good

Occasional spiders- but that’s part of nature, I guess

good location. Ideal for visiting tulum and rest a few days here. A lot of restaurants and bars in town.

Excellent breakfast with scrambled eggs, fresh bread, cake, fresh fruit salad, coffee etc. Good rooms with decent beds, aircon, small kitchenette with good sized fridge, microwave and single cook plate. Very nice pool and lounge area in pretty gardens well off the main drag and peaceful. Rental bike locations with five to ten minutes walk. 12 min walk to ADO bus station. An option of slimmer softer pillows would be nice. The pillows are very bulky.

The owner is french - like us, it was really nice talking with him. He gave us a map our the recommended restaurants and cenotes nearby. They had some cats, lovely dogs, and even an opossum ? The swimming pool was really nice, we took a lot of bathes in it and were always alone. And the breakfast was also really good.

the pool the breakfast the peace and quite away from downtown tulum and the construction zone. nothing

a real gem of a place beautiful clean pool..breakfast was good but a little too much the same each day..the owner and staff very friendly and helpful..this place is like home with dogs cats bees and chickens..the best part for me was there was ample hot water for my must have showers just needed softer bed pillows

Should be called Don Diego de los Pájaros! I did my birdwatching with a cup of coffee at the pool. Imagine a collared aracari in this green oasis in a busy part of Tulum. Hosts were very nice and helpful, for instance with their maps of their favorite restaurants and the best attractions. Breakfast under the thatched roof is wonderful. Hmm... I couldn't figure out the coffee maker in the room but I never got around asking about it. No complaints at all.

It's a beautiful setting with a garden-jungle feeling. I had my own little terrace and hammock which was amazing. Spacious and comfortable room and shower, big bed. Also a fridge and coffee facilities. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. There were a lot of leaves etc in the pool. I still enjoyed it, but would've preferred it to be cleaner. The staff is friendly enough, but not as welcoming and forthcoming as I've experienced in other places in Mexico.

I loved the property and the staff. Wifi was very good and no problems connecting up to do some work. The room and bath room were great as was the swimming pool. It was a quiet area but within 5 mind walk to the main street. Charles was a wonderful host and the lad at the front desk was very helpful in arranging a couple of tours for me. There was nothing I didn't like!!

breakfast room with the outside setting was great Doors to be better sealed

Casa Don Diego was a wonderful little oasis in close enough proximity to the main central business center for us to walk but not right in the middle of everything whereas we were subject to late night partying etc and traffic if we did not want to be part of it. The daily breakfast that was included with our was served late enough for us to not feel rushed every morning and it offered unique dishes and enough variety that we felt satisfied as our first meal. The overall feel of Casa Don Diego was of a small tropical urban homestead retreat. The property was well-maintained and just lovely. My only complaints if I had to think of any are that the bed was a little firm for my liking and would benefit from a 3 inch memory foam topper and I think that there should be a more prominent divider between guest patios for a bit more privacy.
