Albergo Ristorante San Giors

This was a lovely little hotel with a lot of character from the traditional bar and restaurant to the original artworks in the rooms and corridors. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The area the hotel was in was a little off putting. It was in what seemed to be an immigrant area and there was quite a bit of litter and graffiti in the surrounding area. However I would say best not to let that deter you as the hotel itself was lovely and not far to walk to the historic parts of Turin.

How friendly and helpful everyone was despite the language barrier at times.. I was allowed to check in early as I had checked out of another place in the morning, and the room was already ready. The tools was very clean and comfortable and the noise isolation was amazing (the only thing was noise from the corridor could be loud, although I don't know how this can be reduced). The cleaning staff were extremely trustworthy and didn't even accept the tip that was left for them on the bedside table. N/A

Great location, within easy walking distance to the old city and the market halls. The interior design was really quirky and a welcome change. Walls very thin. When someone in the room next to ours took a shower at 2 am, it sounded like we were in there with him/her. When no one responded to our knocking (shower took more than 20 mins), we asked for the staff to intervene. Unfortunately they were not very interested.

San Giors is conveniently located in the city center near the public market, tram stop, restaurants, shops, and cafés. The responsive staff are friendly, helpful, and their manager even surprised me with a generous gift that was way beyond my expectations. The single room was clean and has a large, comfortable bed for one person, cool art decor, free water, and a small balcony. On market day you'll find yourself a part of it all. San Giors is a genuine value for your money. The small balcony had airconditioning units that used up most of the space - no room for a chair and table. Though it didn't bother me - no elevator - which might not be comfortable for guests with limited mobility or huge suitcases.

Good location, quirky interiors, clean, friendly Soft lumpy mattress felt as if it needed replacement

Excellent breakfast with selection of fruits, bread, cold cuts, eggs/ omelet etc. It was a little noisy from the street during the nights.
