Hotel Turin Royal

It was clean and comfortable with very pleasant and attentive staff. It is a reasonable distance to walk to the old town but the tram/light rail is just outside the door. Free all day parking is available on the opposite side of the street to the hotel. The street on which the hotel sits is not terribly inviting but one street back on either side of that street, the real Turin appears. Restaurants for evening meals are not that close by.

The hotel was clean and bright and provided an excellent breakfast. The room was large. A well equipped fitness room exists within the building. The staff were helpful and friendly. The old city is accessed by a 40 minute walk or following a ride on tram 16. Water in the shower was only like warm. On site car parking was offered at €22 per night. We parked in the street each night across the road from the hotel and left it there during the day without cost. Use of gym equipment was appreciated but it would be so much better if the machines were fully functional. The immediate locality of the hotel could be cleaner.

The staff was so kind and helpful, the night guard who checked us in at 2:30 am was so kind to us after a long day of traveling. He gave us water on the house and was so sweet. The hotel itself looks like it is frozen in time, it looks vintage and like nothing has changed since the 60s which I thought was super cool. The rooms were pretty clean, the cleaning staff were very kind as well. The location is near a tram stop, but the able bodied are able to take a stroll to the center in about 25 minutes, and in walking distance from the FlixBus station. The location was ok, the surrounding area and more north was a bit dirty and felt sketchy compared to the south of the city and center, but we had no issues with strangers outside, even at 2 am. The rooms were a bit hot, probably because the air conditioning was old, but we had no problem since it was cooler outside. The duvet was also in a weird sandwich with the covers, and kept slipping out, so idk how hygienic that is, but overall it was very clean and comfortable.

The room cleaning was bad, the cleaner didn't clean the floor, the furniture dust, and the bathroom wasn't clean. The bed for the kid was 2 levels, and it wasn't comfortable to sleep nither on the first level because it was like a box, very depressing, not on the second floor because sta stairs were not appropriate.

my bad review is mostly related to the very uncomfortable bed. The mattress was tilting on one side and the springs could be felt on the body. The rest was right value for money.

I asked for 1 big bed,and request was approved!and I received 2 beds one next to other .I could not sleep all night because I was falling down between the 2 beds all night . I was very disappointed

Comfortable room with everything you need. The minibar was empty and it wasn't on. The temperature is the room was extremely hot every time the staff had been there to clean it. I had to open my window wide open for a while before the temperature was acceptable, and that in the middle of winter (!)
