Alba is a beautifully old-school Italian stay—a classic and, one might say, Franciscan albergo. Eschewing modern luxuries and retro fashions, it offers instead the simple joys of a well-made bed, plenty of heat, silence, and the steady, guiding hand of its wonderful owner, Loris. In Turin’s best neighborhood, less truly is more.

Great location, close to Porta Nuova. Very friendly welcome. Perfect size for solo traveller. Very clean and tidy.

The friendliness of the owner and the staff. The cleanliness. The location. The security measures.

N/A Narrow squeaky single mattress extremely unpleasant Sensor light/fan in bathroom was a nightmare Notice on the air conditioning unit advising extra payment for use

I liked the location and staff. They are making you pay extra for air conditioner... The shared bathroom is not being clean enough during the day.. It's clear that they do not have a card reader... They are only taking cash. Maybe I am too young ,but this is not comfortable

no breakfast, the room was a bit small.

Extremely warm and hospitable hosts; they met our special request at arriving extra early (this was a daytime stay). A typical well-maintained historic building in a beautiful quiet street in a nice downtown zone of Torino. The room was the studio apartment with its own independent entry. Everything newly renovated. No problem operating hot water or gas. The kitchen was supplied with all the necessary cooking utensils. The room heating was powerful. Completely satisfied with our stay.

Superb

good location noisy environment (the owner and his family probably), he took a picture of my id with his private mobile phone, you cannot steer the air conditioning from inside your room, the owner asked to write a positive review.

This is a VERY clean hotel that is inside an apartment complex in a PRIME location in Turin. After a flight delay, we landed late and the owner was kind and awake, thank goodness! The room and bathroom (we had a private en-suite), was spacious and clean, had a hairdryer too. For the price it is perfect, the decor was old but still pretty cool. Note, air conditioning is in the room but you need to pay extra for it, and our room was on a road that was a little to loud to have windows open - so if it is summer, pay for the AC - for the price of this great room it would make it perfect!

Clean It is not a hotel and way too expensive.

Locatie, big room After booking for 3 nights i got a message send to my booking.com app that I had to pay cash at arrival, 385 euros, because they were changing banks and no card payments where possible. Strange…… Once arrived they told me they had upgraded me to a small studio, great! Thanks! After paying cash at the reception, they didn’t give me a receipt, and asked me to cancel my reservation on my Booking.com app. Of course I refused (no show, fine 135 euros) , demanded a receipt, which I got after a lot of hassle and asked why they were making so much trouble and giving me a very unwelcome and unsafe feeling. A long story about guests stealing keys, towels, ‘we are a small family hotel’ and so on followed, made no sense. They don’t speak a word of English, only Italian and French. Beware!

Hotel is in an excellent location. The room and facilities were very clean and the personal was helpful. Lively neighbourhood, but the double window and the blinds secure very well from the noise outside. Unfortunately, there was noise coming from somewhere inside the building at late night on the weekend, but weekdays were fine, perhaps I was just unlucky. The bed was a little to soft for my personal taste, but still ok.
