Very nice hotel, water pressure not great.

It's always a luxurious feelings staying at the Capstone. The experience will make you keep coming back every time you stay in Tuscaloosa.

When I checked in I turned on the TV for background noise, but there was no noise. I checked in the inputs and then scanned a few channels and there was "no signal". I called the front desk and asked about the TV connection(s). The front desk did not know the answer, but said they would send someone up to check the TVs. No one ever showed. I was there two days and no one came to my room and no one from the front desk ever asked if my issue had been resolved. I wasn't there to watch TV, but the fact that neither (there were two in the room) worked properly and no one bothered to check it was very disappointing.

We enjoyed our stay quite a bit. The property is quiet and clean, and our room was very comfortable. It was also conveniently located. The rate was very affordable probably due to the fact that it was off-season. The staff was very polite and professional. I would stay here again, no question.

The hotel is in a fabulous location and the staff are terrific. The hotel room and bathrooms were very dated, but it was clean for dated. Just not luxury by any means

Great stay once again!

The hotel is conveniently located if you have a student at the University of Alabama or if you are attending a game. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious.

Exceptional

The hotel was super clean and everyone was friendly. The on-site restaurant was great as well. We enjoyed using the pool but wished it was open earlier than 10 AM due to the extreme heat.
-
Staff was so kind and helpful. My 2 biggest things at a hotel bed comfort 10/10 and the water pressue in the shower ... also 10/10!

This was the perfect place to stay for bid day. Was able to walk to bid day. The breakfast is great! Staff are friendly. Room while not ultra posh is like and standard room. But you can’t beat location.

booked this hotel more than a month in advance because we were coming to Tuscaloosa for freshman move-in weekend at the University of Alabama. Unfortunately, the stay was extremely disappointing, especially considering the premium price we paid. When we arrived, our room was 79 degrees, and despite trying to adjust the thermostat, we discovered that the air conditioning was not working. The hotel offered to refund our stay so we could find accommodations elsewhere, but on freshman move-in weekend, virtually every hotel in the area was sold out. Finding another room at that point simply wasn’t a realistic option. The hotel provided us with two fans, but spending the night in an August Alabama hotel room without functioning air conditioning is unacceptable—particularly at the rate being charged for such a high-demand weekend. I feel some meaningful adjustment to our room rate should have been offered. We were given two complimentary breakfast tickets, which I appreciated as an attempt to make things right, but unfortunately the breakfast was very disappointing as well. Overall, the hotel itself felt dated and did not justify the premium price. I understand that mechanical issues happen, but when a guest books well in advance, pays a significantly elevated rate, and then has to stay in a 79-degree room because there are no other hotels available, two fans and breakfast tickets simply aren’t adequate compensation. I expected much better for the price we paid.

Great stay!
-
Great location, the staff is fantastic! Room was ready early when we checked in It is dated and the shower door is poorly placed i can’t turn the water on without it spraying directly at you or getting all over the floor! I know they are renovating soon, but overall its a pleasant place to stay

Great location on campus. Hotel looks very nice overall. Didn’t use the pool area, but it looked very nice. Restaurant, Legend’s, is fantastic. The bathroom was a bit dirty but nothing I would call housekeeping over. Just a few scattered bits of dirt on the bathroom floor. Overall, this is definitely our go to when we visit the university. The restaurant and front desk staff are very helpful. Overall would definitely recommend.
