Puts and takes on the location. Pros - easy to book a Grab (given the taxi mafia in the true Ubud downtown around the Palace), quiet, and walkable to two different more populated areas (Ubud Palace and Monkey Forest). Cons - when it’s really hot, I wished we just lived in the busy areas; given we booked private drivers, the Grab was less of a factor for us

This hotel is a gem - a peaceful refuge in busy Ubud. ARTOTEL is a quick walk to restaurants and shops but not on the main road so getting back to your room feels tranquil and relaxed. The hotel staff was so easy to communicate with before my arrival. I arranged an airport pick up and Bagus let me know he was waiting for me and expertly drove me to Ubud. I loved the pool and the restaurant next door, Flock, had wonderful food, coffee and Wi-Fi. I am so grateful that I chose ARTOTEL. I would recommend it to anyone spending time in Ubud. You will be taken care of by the exceptional staff and find your home away from home. Thank you to everyone at ARTOTEL! Everything was excellent.

This hotel is truly a hidden gem. It has everything you need and is located in a great area, making the whole stay very convenient and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Honestly, I would rate this place far beyond 10/10 because of how perfect the experience was. There is a fantastic café right next to the hotel entrance, and as a guest you even get a discount, which was a nice touch. I also tried the spa and it was excellent. I was very satisfied with the service and overall experience. The room was spacious, well equipped, and very comfortable. Room service was always available, and the team was consistently helpful and responsive. Overall, a wonderful stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and value. Super clean hotel with an excellent location. The staff were helpful at all times. The spa was wonderful, the restaurant was amazing. I love this place. The beds are a little firm - some people might like it.

The ARTOTAL, Haniman, Ubed staff is excellent! They are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The hotel is clean, quiet, and safe. The hotel is located in a very convenient part of 'downtown' Ubed. You can walk to the art market in about 30 minutes - it's a fun walk. It is very easy to walk to restaurents or coffee shops from this hotel. You can also use the 'GRAB' app (the Bali version of Uber) to get to anyhere from here. The restaurant attached to the hotel is affordable and the food is good. Overall, great stay at ARTOTEL.

Everything was great, from staff to breakfast, which they serve in the cafe near by. Highly recommended to also try the dishes there outside of breakfast, was our favorite place in Ubud to eat, never disappointed. The room was very big, plus we had free yoga classes.

This place is a small boutique hotel and gorgeous. Modern clean rooms, nice private terrace, great location, walking distance to monkey forest, palace, temples, art market and great restaurants / cafes. Service was impeccable, very friendly staff, leaving cute notes after room clean and gift upon arrival. Good air con, comfy bed and pillows, smart tv, loved the decor overall. Couldn't fault this place, not to mention the great massage! Cafe next door 'Flock' make great coffees although nice touch to have coffee machine in my room. Peaceful and chilled, no riff raff. Bathroom area a bit dark, needs a brighter light in front of mirror, hard to apply make up :)

The location is excellent, and the roads around the hotel are good for walking or riding a scooter if anyone wants to explore. The hotel is super clean, and I didn’t see any animals like lizards or cockroaches. Room service was always available, fast, and very professional. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I truly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ubud

Just a note: if you leave food leftovers in the room, you may find ants ?, so it’s best to keep things tidy. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel was great, it was super close to everything and the staff was really kind. Lots of great amenities. Restaurant next door was a bonus to the stay!! I also had a lizard in my room and the staff came in and took care of it immediately! I wish they gave new cups when cleaning the room, my cups were used and dirty and when I asked if I can get new cups they told me to clean it myself.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at this boutique hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough! We stayed in Studio 30, which was incredibly spacious and comfortable—exactly what we needed after long days of exploring. One of the highlights was the honeymoon spa package—so relaxing and the perfect way to unwind. We also loved that they provided a catalog of services, making it easy to see all the amenities available. Though we didn’t end up using it, the laundry service was a big factor in choosing this hotel, and it’s great to know it’s there for future stays. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Monkey Forest and Chontea Matcha House, and a quick ride to Merlin’s (we visited each of these places multiple times!). If we return to Ubud on our way back from Amed, we’ll definitely stay here again. Lastly, the customer service was outstanding—special thanks to Dewa and Sangayu for their quick responses on WhatsApp and making our stay so smooth. Book in advance, especially during high season! We tried extending our stay day by day but ended up having to switch hotels for one night before returning—worth it, though!
