Very lovely and attentive staff. I arrived late night solo and they had someone to accommodate me which was appreciated. Room was spacious and clean. Location was also very convenient. Walking distance to centre. Close by is also a convenient store. Nothing

The staff were amazing, always smiling and willing to do or help with anything you need. The breakfast was good, loved the plain pancakes. The room we chose was big enough and the balcony on bottom floor was perfect. Pool was perfect temperature. The location was perfect for us, everything you need walking distance from great spas( sang) and great restaurants on hotel street( sun sun a must try). Nothing We stayed a month and we enjoyed every minute, a month might be too long for most but we wanted to relax and see how it would be to live in Bali.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Batu Empug by Mahaputra and would happily return. The genuine Balinese hospitality truly stands out. The staff were warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. A lovely highlight was the goodbye gesture, a fruit basket with a handwritten message on a plant leaf, which was a beautiful and memorable touch. Our room included breakfast with three choices each morning, American, Indonesian, or Continental. We alternated our selections during our stay and appreciated the variety and quality. The location is excellent, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops, and supermarkets nearby, offering both Indonesian and international options. There are also some fantastic coffee shops within easy walking distance. Overall, this is a charming and welcoming place with authentic hospitality in a great Ubud location. We would definitely stay here again. Not really dislikes but a few small suggestions for improvement. The bathroom towels could be replaced as they are past their prime. Better lighting in the bathroom, especially near the mirror, would be helpful, and an additional bedside table would improve comfort.

The location is perfect—the street is charming, full of art spaces and character. I can’t recommend this place enough for both short and long stays, especially if you want to be right in the city center while still enjoying a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. Nothing

The property was absolutely calm, quiet (except the morning rooster), beautiful pools, delicious breakfast and the staff (especially Dia) were kind, always pleasant, willing to help and please. The location provided just enough remoteness with close proximity to food, spas and peaceful surrounds. The breakfast in pool option was just tops! Buyer beware regarding paying for a driver or tour directly from the hotel. Unfortunately, what started as a pleasant experience providing flexibility in creating my own customized activities and getting guidance of how long the activity should take turned into frustrating off-the-cuff sarcastic comments made by the driver (and arranger of our tour) towards my wife saying we are taking too long on our activities and we have “done it before”. What I thought was guidance on how long an activity would take, including drive time, turned into a hard and fast limit on how much time we could spend on an activity/day by our driver/organizer. It was disappointing that, in town, I discovered other “customer your own tour” companies were more flexible and cheaper. What was an absolutely magical stay at this hotel and magical experience in Ubud turned into a sour experience with the hotel’s tour arranger and driver. **I highly recommend you research and customize your own tour with the companies in town or online to avoid any snide remarks and being charged a premium.**

This hotel is a complete rip off. Very dodge and untrustful. Paid confirmed booking for 2 night but gave only one room. forced to live in 1 room with 4 members and 7 luggage. Very Untrustful and dodge. Booking paid and confirmed for 2 nights 2 rooms, months ahead before arrival. But forced to live in only one room with all kids and 7 lugagge. The toilet door was broken. Room was full of insects and ants. Toilet was almost dark and no light. Room has a ph set but no connection. Stairs steps is very high, which can lead to accident any time and not convenient for normal step up for kids at all. Hotel manager is very unkind and very reluctant to talk to customer, even though if you want to speak. No customer service at all.

The rooms were always clean, the food and service was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Had issues with the TV not work, the shower head was loose and not secured properly.

Great location just off the main road in Ubud. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by. Room was bug and bright. Pool area was quite but cute. Lovely and clean. Breakfast was mediocre but did what it needed doing.

This small hotel is on a quiet lane and close to spas, restaurants, Bali Buda, Ganesh Books and Jalan Hanuman. Very clean, all rooms surround the pool, and a small cafe on site. Lovely pool, lattes, and room service Ii stayed solo, then returned later in my trip with a friend. One small item: some chairs in the Cafe are in the direct sun in the early morning, so arrive early to avoid the heat.
