Dewangga Ubud

The renovated room was fantastic! The toilet did stop working at one point but the lady at the front desk fixed it late at night immediately … she deserves a raise. Would have been so good to have this room from the beginning, make sure you confirm a renovated room. I’ll put pics of the first room and then the second for comparison. If we had the renovated room we’d stay there again. When we arrived we were given an old room. The traditional style looked great from the outside but the bathroom was beyond ‘rustic’, smelt bad and was mouldy and unclean. It also had two levels so going to the bathroom downstairs in the night wasn’t great. The photos online only show the renovated bathrooms. I asked to change rooms and they obliged but we had to stay one night in the old room. It was like night and day. We wished we didn’t have to spend the first 24hours of our three night stay trying to get into a room that looked like the pictures. You will be very happy if you are in these lovely new rooms.

The smell in the room and the sheets. Although they changed the sheets and cleaned the room every time we have asked it was the biggest fail from our point of view. Otherwise good value for the many, very well located, perfect room size

The location was great very close to all the fabulous restaurants, cafes and shopping Ubud offers. The rooms were well appointed, beds comfortable and bathrooms had great shower and bath. The grounds were an oasis from the busy streets outside, we had a free 15 minute foot massage as part of the booking which was lovely. We are a family of 4 with teenage children, we requested adjoining/adjacent rooms, as they are all villas this was a bit tricky, but the distance between the rooms provided was disappointing, there were many options to be either top and bottom or opposite each other, which were not provided. The hot water supply in the children's room was insufficient to run a bath and continually ran out after only a couple of minutes, we didn't report the water issue because my daughter wasn't well and didn't want to be disrupted by people coming into the room. I'm sure this can be addressed for future guests. Our Villa was very close to the entrance of the property, above and opposite staff utilities and scooter parking, we could hear motors and voices from early morning each day, didn't bother us too much as we are early risers.

gem right in middle of ubud. Staff are so kind and polite we recommend here for anyone wanting calm peace right in the middle of busy busy Ubud! Watch out for bathroom step!

The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush gardens that create a peaceful, jungle-like atmosphere. It feels like a tropical oasis and is a great place to relax. My room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with everything I needed and plenty of attention given to the small details. The location is excellent, right in the center and close to everything. The spa was also a highlight and easily one of the best I experienced in Bali. The hotel is quiet, the pool is fantastic, and the overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing. I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bali.

Great location: close to shops, restaurants, and many temples, yet quiet and peaceful. Staff were lovely and helpful -- I asked to switch rooms after finding the layout of my room inconvenient (had to go up and down stairs just to use the bathroom or access the closet) and they kindly upgraded me at no charge to a superior room with both bathroom and bedroom on the same floor. Rain shower was very nice, loved the jasmine shower gel. Laundry service onsite was a blessing after a week and a half of sweating through my clothes -- reasonably-priced too, at 36000 IDR per kg. Appreciated the welcome drink and the free 15 minute massage that you can book during your stay (you can choose between a back massage or foot massage). Cooked-to-order breakfasts near the pool were quite good as well (though the pastries were a little stale). We also did the free Balinese offering craft and it was very enjoyable. The first room I was given had the bathroom and wardrobe on the first floor, and a steep flight of steps up to the bedroom... a unique set-up that some might enjoy but I found inconvenient

It was like a resort. All the rooms were in separate houses and all the greenery around it was amazing. There was zero noise from the street. They also had things to do every day of the week (for example, making offerings or morning walk) and you could schedule massages, private tours or trekking a day in advance. The laundry service was also fast and cheap. You are about 20 minute walk to the monkey forest and in the heart of downtown Ubud, with so many shops and restaurants. The only thing was the WiFi connection would buffer sometimes, but nothing crazy. It still worked really well.

Fabulous hotel in a great location. Had a few minor issues with our door not locking but this was quickly sorted by the staff.

We were very well looked after and the Team could not do enough for us. It was our Wedding Anniversary and they had the room done out really nice. We had a Spa Treatment during our stay and it was amazing. n/a

The hotel grounds and pool area are beautiful. Breakfast was great. My room was new. The staff were incredible helpful Spa area is under construction so not quite as fabulous. But soon it will be when construction is done

Loved the jungle feel and hearing the river next to our room. The staff were a delight. Really enjoyed the walk to the market, the pool, painting class and loved the cooking class ! The sheets were a bit on the older side.

The property is divine, so are all the people who maintain it. They also took so much care in making sure our stay was pleasant. I love the check in and check out notes left in the room. Nothing
