Masia Villa Ubud

I always love the healthy fruit and smoothies in Bali and would have liked a health option on the breakfast menu.

The accommodation isn't accessible by car - only by motorcycle or on foot, and it's about 1 kilometer from the parking area. Overall, this was really poor value, especially for the villa price. Yes, the villas are technically in the middle of the rice fields, but the promised views were nowhere to be found from our villa. If you swim in the pool, all you see is the villa itself and the hedge plants surrounding it. There's no seating area, either in the villa or by the pool, from which to actually enjoy a view. The only place with a view is the concrete path leading to the villa - ironic, since that's not somewhere you can sit and relax. The staff weren't unfriendly, but they came across as odd - unusually so for Bali, where people are generally warm and welcoming. We didn't get a single smile the entire stay. In almost every interaction, they seemed confused or unsure - whether we asked for the Wi-Fi password or a transfer to Ubud (which, as it turns out, they don't offer). One time, a staff member brought us the wrong breakfast order. When I pointed it out, she looked genuinely frightened. I tried to reassure her that it was fine and I'd eat it anyway, but she still went and brought the correct order - by which point I'd already finished the wrong one. She remained visibly anxious throughout. Communication in English also seemed to be a struggle. Breakfast, for what we paid, was underwhelming - a limited selection that didn't change from day to day. On our first morning, it took roughly 30 minutes just to get our food.

The location is absolutely stunning. In the middle of rice fields. And the view right from the bed wow. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Masia Villa's are situated within the rice paddies just outside of the busy streets of Ubud to ensure a nice and tranquil stay. The rooms are mold free which is hard to come by in Bali. And the outdoor bathroom (shower and tub) added a wonderful touch.

Location in rice paddies. Loved the pool and the breakfast. Rooms were lovely and spacious. Bed comfy. We walked from Ubud with backpacks, easy walk but have to watch out for many motorbikes on narrow path. Air conditioner didn’t work very well. Many ants come and go in bathroom but not a big bother, after all you are in nature.

Staff were warm welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was always good and delivered with a friendly welcoming smile Could do with a general tidy up, but otherwise a lovely place to stay

Nothing I went to see the place beforehand and it was just a few rooms in the middle of nowhere, nowhere to go around and not hard to imagine the mosquito rate around sunset. I didn’t stay. And they still charged me for the whole 4 nights (!) even though I explained my situation kindly. And it’s not a cheap place compared to several great hotels that are way more central anyway. So it’s a big no!

Quiet place and beautiful and the stuff so sweet and helpful ? Difficulty it was raining so difficult to walk with a kid inside the hotel they try to fix it but still for kids it hard

The location is excellent and so are the breakfasts. So happy to see biodegradable straws. It’s tired. There is no top sheet on the bed. There is no rack for drying towels and bathers. No tea cups.

Spacious, separate rooms with ensuites, villa swimming pool. Not particularly private due to construction site next door - could see into main bathroom through glass doors.

the brreakfast was very bad . Tasteless Taking the motor scooter to the Villa was super uncomfortable each and everytime from the main road.

Recommendation for travellers to check instructions for arrival ahead of time. Hotel provides transfer by scooter to the main parking lot. Overall great Ubud experience

Lovely stay, staff were very friendly. Free scooter service into Ubud town made it very easy to access all services of the town whilst staying in a quiet location away from all the noise.

Fantastic location. Our own little oasis just off the chaotic main streets of Ubud! Staff were so friendly and helpful too Our 2 bed villa was so comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank u
