Beautiful Villa & staff is dedicated to meeting your every need.

It is about 30 mins drive from central Ubud, but they do provide a shuttle in the afternoon and evening. Also everything is outdoors and in the middle of a rice field, so something to note re: mosquitoes. However they provided mosquito spray, mosquito nets around the bed, and the AC was very cold, so they did everything to minimize chances of getting bitten. Indonesian breakfast (noodles) was a bit bland.

I stayed here 1.5 years ago and came back. I enjoy how the property feels and that you can walk to some shops and coffee, yet are in a local village with some hotels. Love all the dogs when I would walked, met the owners dog and brother on a walk and he showed me the sister villa which was cool and I would change it up and stay there next time at Rumah Kayu since I have been here twice now. Had a wonderful massage, the staff are all wonderful and very helpful. The villas are beautiful and a true retreat, breakfast included in the morning was great and I like their food. The food wasn’t as good this year 2026 as it was in 2024, but still good.

The room was clean. The receptionists were responsive to our needs. The breakfast is good, just right. I like that their floating breakfast has no additional fees. For dinner, we tried their the baby back ribs and it was sooo good! We enjoyed our stay! We felt safe and and everything was smooth. More Power!

The pool was great Thought we could handle The bathroom being semi open but honestly it was so scary aat night And the large geckos out side in the garden made it really hard to fall asleep because we were so scared it would get inside the room and they were so loud Also the food is really badddddd We only ate the fruit during breakfast, everything else was horrible

Omg, the view from my bedroom was beautiful. the bed was super comfortable! The bathroom was huge and had a lux look to it. The location was serene, very green and plush. Room service was quick. Although i didn't partake in any of their services, they do offer spa treatments and tours which i felt was very convenient. Although, i didnt complain the phone and tv didn't work in room 211. Also, there was a decaying lizard behind the bathroom sliding door. I

The location is great if you are after peace and quiet. However, if you are wanting to go out at night to central ubud to eat out shop etc the villa is quite far away. The villa does offer a free shuttle service to ubud centre which is helpful during the day. The issue we found was we wanted to get a grab/gojek from the villa to central ubud for dinner but no one wanted to get us because the traffic from the villa going to central ubud is terrible and no driver wants to do the trip. So you might either want to eat at the villa restaurant or find restruants closer to the villa. There are a few nice ones around. Also the power cut out often. There was never any hot water. So get used to cold showers. The bathrooms did smell but they were clean.

Nice, but pictures are too good, rooms outdated. At some point a lot of bugs started coming into my room, but they cleaned it fast when I’ve asked.

Very hospitable staff, smooth check in. Everything really good about the room and service. We checked in very late at night still superb and smooth. Great view of the rice fields. Some lizards at night time but all are outside room near pool area and totally not harmful.

We loved the service the staff gave us. All staff are super lovely and easy to approach. Hotel provided everything you need ie. Comb, toothbrush, shampoo and conditioner. All the essentials required for travel. Bed was comfortable. Villa is amazing. You have so much space. Food is also amazing, and there's a variety of food to choose from. Nothing
