location is pretty good 8 mins drive with scooter to main area pool area is nice studio room was nice but super super noisy, the other rooms are not nice at all studio room is literally next to the road, super noisy with trucks and cars driving around and the window is not even closed or sealed and has a gap... the other room smaller room they moved me to, had a very short warm water span.. 3 mins and its getting cold

The complex/property overall looks great. It is located conveniently near the main street in Uluwatu, around 5-8 minutes from some of the gyms and cafes. The guests staying at the same time seemed nice and friendly. In terms of the facilities, the pool and the tanning area are lovely with an outdoor shower and separate towels. There is also a supplied kitchen in case you need anything, which comes in handy. The bed was quite comfy and also beautiful. Love a big bathroom, although it was totally not a must size wise. I found a free mosquito spray on arrival, and another one in a plug, which were both really handy. It would have been great if there was an extra adapter as well. When it comes to service, the staff was extremely friendly and quite responsive. They were cleaning well every day regularly and restocking water, tea, etc, which I enjoyed compared to the place I'm staying at now. When there was a power cut in the area due to the weather, they kindly offered an option to sleep in another place while the repairs were happening, which I appreciated. My arrival wasn't handled very smoothly, possibly since I was arriving at ~1 am. Despite informing the reception of the exact hour when I will be arriving, and also letting them know 45 minutes beforehand and 10 minutes beforehand, I waited like half an hour at night to meet the gentleman who led me to the suite. I was surprised to find out that the bungalow I had booked was actually more of a room. The name above the door was saying bungalow; however, I realized that the property has a few rooms that are named bungalow and actual separate houses that are bungalows. The latter looked much more spacious, with natural light, than a regular room is. I would suggest that the property re-evaluates how they call and price the rooms and the bungalows to avoid guests rating "low value for money" If they are placed into a room that is called a bungalow. The room was quite comfortable, except for much more insect activity than I'm used to in Bali. There were a lot of spiders, ants, and geckos, and in the previous accommodation I've taken here I didn't experience them that much (I did use mosquito repellent). I think the room space was utilized very ineffectively: there could be much more storage. Currently, there's one closet which is quite dysfunctional because the hangers conflict with the bars in the door, and the bars kept falling out / breaking when I was closing doors. If there was somewhere to hang clothes for drying, apart from the one in the bathroom bar, that would be nice, especially for beach towels or washed clothes. Last but not least, I was most frustrated by the amount of noise coming into my room which was facing the pool. The second night I had arrived, someone had come back from a night out on the weekend and they were having a chat by the pool at around 4 or 5 am. Even though I'm not a light sleeper, I had awakened. I was constantly bothered by loud noise from planes, scooters and other guests throughout my stay.

The staff are the heart of the property. They go above and beyond for you and work so hard! Each and every one of them are a credit to Kandahill. - we appreciate everything you all did for us during our stay ? Food was great and always fresh. We would definitely return Nothing! But if we had to say, we would wish it could be slightly closer but we would still return

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Comfortable lounge chairs by the pool. Outdoor shower available. We loved it here

Their in house restaurant closes at 4pm.

Staff was super nice, pool area was very well maintained and a good place to chill out of the room. I loved being able to grab drinks and just write it down, beer was always cold. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, Tv and sound bar were a great addition. We missed power outlet next to both sides of the bed, a shower curtain or glass around the shower (it ends up getting all the bathroom wet), a bit noisy as we were facing the street and could hear all the vehicles.

Just many small things. Loads of mosquitoes right in front of where we walked in. Not a good location. We would have to take taxi three times a day just to get something to eat and then again for activities. It's not a bad place and if you need a place to stay and the price is good, then do it.

I really enjoyed my stay and I ended up extending three times. Staff are fantastic. Both the rooms and scooter hire were excellent value. I would happily stay again! Location is a little out of town, but I enjoyed this. You will certainly either need a scooter (hire at the hotel) or rely on Grab / Gojek. Also would have loved a small fridge.

Helpful stuff We booked the hotel after reading the price and reviews. We were actually expecting a bit of a sink and drain smell. But we weren't expecting it to be this bad. The first night we went to bed with the smell of pee covering the entire bedroom. The next day when I asked for our room to be changed they said there were no other rooms available but they would clean the room. The smell really decreased when the room was cleaned. But this time we couldn't sleep because of the mosquitoes since there were no wires on the windows of the room and the windows were opened. The first night the mosquitoes left no place unbitten on my daughter's open foot. And we tried to sleep with the constant buzzing of flies. The next day we spent 3 hours trying to kill flies. We had terrible sleepless nights. I can't understand why there are no mosquito nets on the beds and no wires on the windows. Staying here has become a nightmare for us. We were very happy to leave this hotel after 3 days.

The hotel is great! Super clean, very peaceful, full of nature and a great pool! The staff is amazing! Hans was always there to help, very kind and attentive! The wifi can be improved!

Hans, managing the property, and his team were executional and I would return just for Hans alone. They were very kind and welcoming and they are a huge asset for the property. Anywhere would be lucky to have them. Facilities were exactly what I needed, nice pool, nice room, good AC, easy access and amenities.

Kanda hill villas are beautiful! The pool is great and the location is very good! 5 minute drive to Bambu gym and Main Street with restaurants and under 10 minute drive to Padang beach. I would highly recommend!
