Hotel Puerta del Sur

great place with a great location, staff very kind and all the nature surrounding the hotel is very beautiful. Is my second time and I'm gonna return very soon Elevator was broken for two days, Wifi doesn't work in the room and in the cowork place was very unstable.

The staff service was excelent and all the facilities were in excelent condition. The breakfast and services included were off the charts They did not have a specific access for pedestrians, but that is the most I could say

The view is breathtaking, facing the river and has a small pier to sit and take it all in. Breakfast was good, next to lovely terrace. The hot water tubs worked great with a fantastic view of the surrounding nature.

Everything! Very nice place to stay, beautiful, clean, very kind staff. We would return for sure!

Spacious rooms overlooking marshes toward the river, with well-maintained grounds. It's a well-run hotel, and has good service, as well as easy to access parking. A bit lacking in soul, but ortherwise fine.

Beautiful first floor room with a patio. Rural setting in a city - lovely gardens with ID signs for plants, secluded walk down to a dock with some watersports, really friendly staff, great restaurant, comfortable bed with excellent sheets. Nothing

This hotel is all about the location, near the wetlands of Valdivia. Beautiful location filled with nature, and gorgeous views from the moment you set foot in the building. It's a bit far from the city center, but this lovely environment is certainly worth the time. The rooms were comfy for the whole family, breakfast was delicious. We ate at the restaurant and terrace and both were great experiences - at night in the terrace the bar even had marshmallows for the kids to roast. Staff was super nice. Overall a great place to stay and enjoy vacations. the pool was a bit too cold for really staying a lot.

The views and the location

Location and hotel grounds were lovely. The room decor was tired. The carpet was stained. There was a distinct odour in the room.

an oasis of calm in large grounds with a small dock onto the river. Good pool and childrens climbing frame. Outstanding staff, good food Windows on 3 rd floor room has huge windows that open horizontally. Sill is at thigh level. Room we were given for our children had no lock on the windows so they could fall out. A lock was fitted when we asked but this should be standard. Whe we made our booking we were guaranteed connecting rooms in an e mail but a week before we arrived this was changed to adjoining rooms only. Ordering food at the restaurant was only by QR code with no paper coy available so we had to use the waiters phone. I think paper copies of the menu should be available.

Amenities were nice, hot tubs, views etc. It was a little bit messy the organisation. I got charged a reserve before arriving and then had to pay again (not sure why not use the reserve?). Then when we were checking out, I tried to pay out consumption in the restaurant while we were in the hot tubs but it was impossible, so they said: we will write you and you can do a transfer. Making an international transfer to pay ~10€ for two drinks feels a bit non sense. All this made it a bit messy.

Beautiful location!

Grounds were nice. Pool was filthy. Gym is tiny. Wifi was slow.

The hotel is completely dated. Very old furniture and stained smelly carpet in the room and throughout the common areas. Uncomfortable hard bed and pillows. Not very secure as one of the latches to the sliding door does no not stay in place, and the lock to the sliding door doesn't lock. You can hear people and noise through the vent in the shower. The water drips through the shower and sink faucet knobs. You have to tighten them so hard that then it's very hard to get them opened again. The breakfast was okay, nothing major. They have nice scrambled eggs, but they would not do fried eggs or anything other than what they put out. They have a nice restaurant, but they don't offer anything Chilean, and it's a little overpriced. There are many little such negative details that if they would renovate, this place would be just stunning.
