The location and the quality of the service especially the waiters ( the tall guy with the moustache ) and waitresses ( the black woman in particular ). They were very sweet to us. And also the guys at the reception, always very helpful. And I would like to thank all the women who did the housework in our room. They were amazing. The swimming pool was a bit smaller than we imagined and the sun beds were usually all taken after 11 am.

We spent a 2 full weeks in Valencia with our kids and a family friend, 6 in total sharing 3 rooms with city view. Location is superb near the beach and not far from city center. Restaurant is outstanding, but a bit too much for every day over two weeks. Enjoyed the swimming pools and the gym. Breakfast was nothing short of outstanding. Rooms are a bit outdated. Missed a second restaurant / bar that was less formal, with fast / easy options. Gym is well equipped, a bit small (but air conditioned and available 24/7).

The location and the facilities There was no store in the hotel or nearby for general groceries. I wanted drinks and lunch for the kids and there was no option at 13:00 in the afternoon (ridiculous)

Literally everything: location, hospitality, cleanliness, SPA and gym. It was a very relaxing and memorable holiday. Cannot think about anything…

Exceptional staff from the minute you arrive - the pool team serving towels and drinks (thanks Lauren) , the breakfast crew (thanks Lucia) , the room with the sea view was beautiful and the bedding is soft soft soft and so comfortable. The cleaning crew visit twice a day so the room is spotless and they take great care. The beach is an easy 2 minute walk for a swim in the sea and sunbeds and umbrellas for 30 euros. The breakfast is excellent too - loads of choice and a good menu as additions. What a fabulous hotel. The upper pool says 'Adults' but that just means you have to be able to swim as its super deep - it has very minimal space around it so is absolutely crammed with beds so it does not feel luxurious, the lower pool is better but thats where the small children run around screaming - not ideal and a reminder as to why we prefer adult only holidays. The city is a 20 minute taxi ride 25-35 euros every time you want to go in - and the local restaurants are fine but not high end - thats the only thing that lets it down - however I would always prefer the sea views :)

Spacious rooms, nice view towards the beach. Concierge staff were very helpful. It’s a decent hotel for a family with young children who like the beach Breakfast on the surface looked great but was actually a little underwhelming. There is outside seating for the bar but not all the seating has bar service. It’s like the bar staff can’t walk an extra 2m to ask the people on the end 3 tables if they want a drink. Crazy! Also, there is a sign on the door of the spa that says the indoor pool of the spa is for swimming and relaxation only. However, it’s regularly full of kids messing around. Staff don’t care. The hotel is a family resort really not a relaxing destination for a couple or family with older children. Although not the fault of the hotel it’s very far from the old town and other city attractions. It’s an 1hr15 walk or taxi ride away. If you’re in Valencia to explore the city I’d don’t think this is the place for you.

Brilliant hotel with great facilities in an amazing location, just steps from the beach. The lobby bar serves great drinks and the pool area is gorgeous. Our room was clean and had a big balcony with stunning views over the sea. A truly excellent stay! NA

Breakfast was the highlight! Good selection and variety of food! We were unfortunately very disappointed with our stay at Hotel Las Arenas, especially given its 5-star positioning. The biggest disappointment was the hospitality and overall attitude of the staff. We were a group of 10, including four children, and were turned away from the restaurant twice because we had not made a reservation. We fully understand that reservations may be required, but the restaurant appeared to be at no more than 30% capacity, with the majority of tables visibly empty. Despite this, there was absolutely no flexibility or attempt to accommodate us. We were simply told to come back in 45 minutes, when they might have space. The general attitude felt cold, rigid and at times almost superior—as though guests were being done a favour rather than welcomed. The pool situation was equally disappointing for a family hotel. There are two pools: one large pool where children are essentially only allowed to swim, with playing restricted, and far too few sun loungers for the number of guests. By 10:00 in the morning, practically every lounger was already occupied. The second pool, apparently intended for children, is extremely small and only around 40 cm deep—suitable perhaps for toddlers aged 1–3, but hardly a meaningful alternative for families with older children. Even more surprising for a 5-star beachfront hotel is that there is no beach service whatsoever. No hotel sunbeds, no umbrellas and no dedicated area for guests. There is simply a side exit leading to the public beach, where you carry your own belongings and hotel towels, try to find a spot on an extremely crowded beach, and hope your things are still there if you leave. If you want water, a drink or anything else, you need to walk all the way back to the hotel pool area. What disappointed us most, however, was not any single facility or rule, but the overall attitude toward guests.

From check in, to check out it was just gorgeous. The room was spacious, clean and had the most beautiful view. The pool was perfection, deep and big and never felt too busy. Excellent location for the beach and for exploring the local area. Honestly, nothing.

Relaxing atmosphere Not enough sunbeds around pool

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Luxury accommodation but very small room (for three) Facilities and staff

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The service was good The Pool area too small and sunbeds are crammed in so you’re on top of the stranger next to you. They charged me for a cup of tea and for the price you pay per night you would expect to get that complimentary.
