Safarnama Varanasi

Excellent location close to the Ganges and (overall) clean room. No shower gel and shampoo were available on the first night.

Convenient location Drop off point is about 15 minutes away so very inconvenient if you’re travelling with luggage. Rooms, soft furnishings and bedding are dated, very noisy location and not suitable for those with limited mobility

polite staff my room was not that nice and no window, had to walk through crowded streets to get to the water location in alley and hard to find.

Close proximity to all important temples and ghats. Located in a very silent place even though well connected with all transportation methods. Nothing as such

Room size is too small, furniture is broken cupboard hinges, coffee cups are like from last century very dirty, tv was not working, there is stains on mattress, blanket and on pillow. Rooms need urgent deep cleaning and repair maintenance. Bed light fixtures are broken. Bathroom mirror light not working. Overall rooms are overpriced. If owner wants to charge this much money then facilities should also meet minimum requirement.

The staff and facilities at Safarnama made me feel very comfortable. Although it’s modest and simple, the place stands out for its cleanliness and organization. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The rooms open onto peaceful lounge areas where you can sit and plan your trip with natural light, especially on the top floor where I stayed. Highly recommended.

Good & clean centrally located

Well run boutique B&B in Heart of Varanasi. The room size is adequate and breakfast was freshly made to order each day which was great. The hotel could do with a WiFi signal on the 3rd floor and better lighting and signage to find the hotel at night

Did not really match the photos, was not very clean. and while being in the middle of old Varanasi sound good, we were quite happy to find a place more comfortable a litlle bit out of the chaos of the town (we had a driver)

Room was clean and comfortable. Amenities were great. Special thanks to Aniket and PanditJi for their warm hospitality. The ghat and the temple are very approachable.

The staff were very helpful, breakfast was ok. Location is great for visiting the temples and the ghats. We were two sisters travelling together. We were given a room on the ground floor, which was literally two steps behind the reception! I have never seen a hotel have a guest room right behind the reception area. The room had no privacy, as anyone at the reception area or at the main entrance could hear everything inside and vice versa. At one point, some random guest just walked into our room, making us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. The attached bathroom too faced the adjoining busy road, so all in all, as pilgrims, we could not have a restful stay. We asked to be given another room, but as the hotel was full, that was not possible. The hotel staff though couldn't be more understanding and helpful, and as a goodwill gesture organised a free boat tour of the ghats for us, which we appreciated. However, we will not recommend this place to anyone as it is overhyped for what it is. It is definitely not a boutique hotel, at best it is a B&B if not a glorified hostel. Avoid if you like a bite of peace, safety and comfort in your stay.

Nice, smaller room with everything you need. In a good location. Mold in the bathroom.

The clean rooms and the distance from our hotel to all the places that we wanted to visit like dashmeshwar ghat for Ganga arathi, kashi Vishwanath temple was just walkable distance. I feel 2 days and 3 nights was not enough ? It’s not the property but if you have aged people travelling then make sure you take a wheelchair from nandi circle till the property as it’s small lanes and rickshaws are not allowed.
