Hotel Stay Banaras

Breakfast was great, location was busy but the hotel felt like a sanctuary from the chaos outside. Rooms could have been a little cleaner, especially light switches and walls, but overall they were reasonably clean

Beautiful building, well kept and clean absolutely everyone is super friendly and helpful My room 301 unfortunately had mosquitos I let the manager know but little was done to remedy the situation, if it hadn’t been for this the hotel would be a 10/10

The property is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were massive and very well put together. The bathroom was clean. We were provided with all the basic from towels to toiletries. What I enjoyed the most was the outdoor restaurant which served good food. The staff was very nice, cordial and helpful. Minor, but I found a strand of hair in my food (puri).

Rooms are verys small and cramped for two poeple to stay. The towels could have been cleaner looking. The approach of the hotel was also not nice but my overall stay was good. Strategly i saw my review automatically there however I did not write any review, that's the reason I had to edit my review and did it the way it was.

I liked the visual style of the hotel, it wasn’t indian.

Disappointing

We stayed for six nights and it was perfect. Loved the location as it was quiet and a bit away from the busy centre. The restaurant was great and breakfast had a good selection. Bed was comfortable and the shower was great with good water pressure and hot water every time! Staff were also very attentive and helpful. Room was a bit small, but didn't really bother us - we had enough space for the two of us.

Very helpful staff...took care of us like family

The bedding was used and not fresh at all, including pillow covers and duvet. We were too tired to notice when we checked in. We noticed when we came back to the hotel after dinner. It was very late to look for another option and we stayed put as we had to leave at 3.00 AM for Bodh Gaya. It is too expensive for the money paid. The approach to the hotel is too dirty.

The service is outstanding! Very good, from reception, breakfast and housekeeping. I even got a welcome package. :) The room is good and comfortable. Location quite far from the Ganges. Cleanliness can be better in the room. When they cleaned my room I got a dirty sheet, even more dirty than the one I already had. Please inform staff what vegan food is in restaurant. I had issues with diner and breakfast. This can be better. Also one time in the restaurant they gave us meat instead of vegetarian food.

Very beautiful hotel with amazing restaurant. Both the breakfast and dinner were very tasty (especially the Benarasi dum aloo). Staff were very welcoming and helped us plan an excursion to the traditional weavers’ district. The area is a little derelict. At night getting transport to the important sights was challenging.

The property is lovely, Very charming courtyard and hallways. Restaurant on site was delicious we ate a dinner and lunch there. Liked the balcony off my room and the 2nd floor common one. Clean! A bit of a rough auto ride to ghats and 20-30min. Room and bathroom were very basic but adequate. Because of bathroom i would rate this hotel room more of a 3.5 than 5 star.

I had a fantastic stay at Stay Banaras hotel with my daughter. I was there during the Mahakumbh period when the town was super busy, but the service offered by the hotel was excellent. It is such a beautiful property and I was amazed by how cute and comfortable it is. My daughter loved it! The food in the restaurant is excellent too. The staff are all great too. Neetu at the restaurant served us and provided great hospitality. The manager is an amazing and kind gentleman named Rohit who takes care of all needs of the customers. I had a fantastic stay overall!

Welcoming staff, comfortable and clean room, great food and peaceful oasis in the heart of Varanasi.

The property has a courtyard restaurant which is enclosed by two tall walls with Yellow doors. This creates an ambiance of coziness, safety and peace that separates the hotel from the busyness and noise of the neighborhood outside those walls. It also creates a sense of community and warmth between the guests and staff. Both the wait staff and the office personnel were friendly and excellent in every way. The hotel manager, Rohit made sure every detail was handled to make our stay easy and fun. Our room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The restaurant served a complimentary and delicious buffet style breakfast complete with gourmet teas or espresso coffees and eggs to order. On top of all of these wonderful aspects of Stay Baneras, the landscaping and lighting was charming. Clearly a lot of creative thought went into the property. Nothing to dislike. It was a pleasure to be there for 5 days and we could have happily stayed much longer
