Hotel Bologna is small and friendly and has been run by the same family for the last 60 years. There is a bar here and the restaurant specializes in traditional regional cuisine. As with any central city location, parking is a bit of a challenge.

The restaurant and staff were fantastic. The room furnishings were a bit sparse and the bathroom was outdated, but everything was clean and comfortable and very economical.

The person in charge was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. All was fine.

The breakfast was pretty basic. There were no fresh vegetables, for example, but maybe that's just traditional Lombardy cuisine?

The hotel is in the beautiful city of Varese, and although in a historic building, is up-to-date and well-maintained. The room was very spacious, with high ceilings, and a roomy bathroom. Breakfast was delicious- high quality breads , cakes, meats, cheeses and eggs. The coffee was so good. Checkin was easy. The town has a train station, from which one can get to Malpensa within 45 minutes, or so.

Renovated in a classic style. Room with balcony was above the restaurant and one of the more important two lane roads, but neither is an issue (many other rooms appear to be towards the back) Breakfast room can become cool, choose a seat away from the usually open passage to the outside seats. Some unidentified humming noise, possibly a fridge in adjacent room is noticeable. A nice comfy easy chair could make this particular room even nicer.

Stayed here twice now. We love this place. Great for USA or Brits. The staff is friendly. The rooms are bigger than typically found in Italia. The furniture is nice. The breakfast is very good. In the top 15% of breakfasts we've had in the 40+ days we've spent in Italia the past 2+ years.

Breakfast is really good, with also cakes. They have a restaurant, but you should book a table because it's often full. The hotel is well located in the city centre. Staff commendable for the kindness. For people moving with their own car, it may be considered that they do not have much room for car parking there
