Hotel Kärntnerhof Velden by S4Y

Location was close to people we were visiting Booked for 2 nights based on reviews and ratings. The hotel is not well insulated, old, and you can hear the busy road which is in front of hotel. There is no one at reception at night and people can come and go as they please (main door is unlocked). It was very hot, no air conditioning and we could hear other guests (and who knows who else) throughout the night talking loudly & laughing. Strong smells of tobacco smoking. Left next morning (exhausted from lack of sleep) and told no refund for second night as they are not responsible for other guests behavior.

Room was ok My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room I was given upon checkin was located directly above a hall where a loud party was taking place and smoking area . The noise was unbearable—booming music, doors slamming, and the strong smell of cigarettes drifting up from below made it impossible to get any sleep. Zero points for the staff for not warning upon making reservation especially that there was coreespondance on the day of arrival, and for seleting. If you're looking for a peaceful night's stay and considerate , I strongly advise against this hotel.

Nothing... no service provided. No hot water, no toilet paper. No human touches of any kind. A ghost hotel, not welcoming

Very nice rooms, responsive and kind staff, and an excellent breakfast. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and hassle-free stay. Everything was nice, and I look forward to returning in the future!

Very clean, good breakfast, excellent location, free parking. A little outdated, bathroom shower didn't work well (from cold to boiling hot water...no in between!)

Everything was absolutely fantastic, beyond our expectations. They welcomed us with little Milka chocolates on our bed. That was such a lovely gesture. ???The receptionist was super friendly and very kind, the room was perfectly clean, cleaning lady was also very sympathic and kind, nice and warm decor, shower was also great, bed very comfortable, quiet location, in front of the hotel there's a lovely terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast or sitting in the evening enjoying your drinks and cigarettes. Big plus also is that hotel is dog friendly and free parking. ?????? If we'll come again, this will be our first choice.????? Everything was absolutely fantastic. We wish, we could stay longer. Looking forward for the next visit.?

The location was very good, 600 meter from the center and the room was very spacious. The breakfast was also very good. The property is a bit outdated and when we asked at checkin for things to do, we were told that when it rains, there is nothing to do. Close to the property there is an Information office, and they were luckily more helpful.

I spent two nights in Velden for a biking event and the room I booked exceeded my expectations. It was clean, had a kitchen and living room that overlook the mountains.

The room was quite big and so was the television. The view on the autumn trees was also pleasing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was trying to hide its age as best as it could, but it was no secret it had lived a long life. And it was cold when we arrived. The TV is a good entertainment only for German speaking folk.
