Lovely ambiance, staff and location. This little hotel is a gem. We felt like we belonged and the decor is over the top gorgeous. Close to all shops and restaurants, with an amazing breakfast served in their lovely dining room. Our suite even had a kitchenette! Highly recommend. Would not change a thing!

Friendly staff, responsive to questions, gave great suggestions for activities. The decor is super fun! An easy walk to anything we needed, parking, restaurants, bar, shopping… We hope to return soon! Nothing. We loved this place. For some, no elevator might be a problem.

It was a real treat to spend two weeks at La Maison du Frêne, a jewel of a hotel situated in the heart of the picturesque town of Vence, with its maze of medieval streets and numerous cafés and restaurants. Our light and airy suite was spacious, extremely comfortable and furnished with panache. What makes this hotel so memorable, however, is the level of care and attention given to guests. Each morning as our delicious breakfast was served our hosts went out of their way to help us plan our programme for the day, enthusiastically suggesting places to visit and providing helpful maps and leaflets. They showed a genuine interest in hearing where guests had been and how they had enjoyed themselves. The patrons listened with patience and encouragement to our faltering French and were happy to to continue the conversation in English when we became tongue-tied. They ordered taxis for us and were thoughtful enough to provide us with a bottle of wine to share with visiting family, as well as a parting gift as a souvenir of our stay. A truly original, delightful, relaxing family-run hotel. Simply a must for anyone wishing to stay in the area. We didn’t like leaving this wonderful hotel!

Our apartment was AMAZING. Thierry, our host was discreet and yet available if needed. The apartment exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. There was nothing we didn't like!!
