Stefano who welcomed us was the kindest man. He treated us like queens! Our room (104) was fantastic. It was quiet, sparkly clean, super comfy, very spacious. The breakfast room had the best cappuccino I've ever had. We also loved the Rooftop restaurant, fantastic view, food, and was very romantic, with stunning views. We were treated like queens there too. The location was also spectacular. Close enough to Venice, but quieter. Charming street to walk, 10 mins from the Adriatic Sea, 5-10 min walk to the Vaporetto for mainland Venice (then a 15 min vaporetto lift). Bravo! Nothing.

Current Location amazing staff Very hot days an AC couldn’t lower the temperature less than 22 C which many people OK with, but wasn’t enough for me.

Beautiful, chic jewel of a hotel in a fun, chill area. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially with coordinating a private water taxi. The room itself was large, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The central AC cooled the space effectively. There was excellent water pressure and hot water in the shower. Most memorably, the pool, the gardens, and the view from the roof restaurant were all sublime. We’ve stayed in Venice before and found Lido much more relaxing and fun than our previous favorite hotel on the Grand Canal. Moreover, the Ausonia Hungaria is just perfectly located, with the ferry port an easy 7 minute walk from the hotel in one direction, and the beach clubs a 7 minute walk in the other. We enjoyed the pool and beach during the day and went into Venice in the evening to avoid the crowds and the heat. Overall, it was a delightful stay. Highly recommend! The room had automatic lights that went on when we used the bathroom or opened the door to the hall. The AC seemed to power down on one of the nights, but the night staff adjusted it.

The hotel is located on the Lido. So unlike the main islands of Venice this is an area of modern buildings which is very plush. It is an upmarket area and the hotel itself presents as very large and impressive. It has a grand entrance and is smartly furnished with high end fittings and carpets etc. We were greeted with very friendly reception desk staff who appear to be there constantly. Similarly the restaurant and breakfast area staff are all very well turned out and impeccably polite and welcoming. So first impressions are very favourable indeed. The rooms are also spacious and smart with modern decor. The bed was large and comfy. So we feel that the hotel has got all the big issues right. But its the smaller issues that just let it down. For example the bathroom is an integral part of the bedroom as such. No problem with that in principle. But the bathroom is separated from the main room by a clear glass panel. This includes the toilet which is in the line of sight with the person laying on the bed. So there is zero privacy which is really remiss. We have been married 40 years today but even with this familiarity some privacy by using a barrier or even privacy glass would have been very welcome. So to get any privacy you have to use the lift to use the guest toilets, then there is no loo roll... Added to this there is movement sensor in the bathroom so if you get upon the night it sets off a bright light which then wakes your spouse. Not jut very poor facilities in the room too. For example there is a coffee machine but no instructions in any language of how to use it. There is tea and coffee but no cream or milk in any form. There is a clothes rail but only 3 hangers so most of our clothes could not be hung up. Nearly every hotel we have stayed in provide a folder giving details of the hotel facilities such as the restaurant opening times, the Spa etc. But here there was nothing so no details of how to book any wellness treatments etc. No information about local places etc. It's all just a bit lacking. For a hotel that boasts that it provides 5 star luxury it is just a long way from that. There is just one main towel and a thin sheet for bedding. It just gives an idea of rather penny pinching facilities. We could have approached the cleaning staff but found them unfriendly and surly. So the hotel has clearly spend millions on its construction but then provides very poorly thought out rooms. So we could not recommend this place. It is a pricey hotel and we did expect so much better. Unless it changes ALL the above matters we would not want to return. Shame.

Options provided on the first day Staff did not seem interested in taking a warm breakfast request

The location is good; but that’s the only valuable part of this property Location

What an amazing hotel, steeped in history. The staff are excellent and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. Our room looked out over the front of the property, was large and very comfortable with lovely furniture. It has a great location, just a few minutes walk from the Lido water bus terminal, and a few minutes from the beach on the other side. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our only complaint is that we were told that there were no more pancakes available, and this was at 9:30am, an hour and a half before the breakfast service officially ended.

Everything we wanted and at a very fair price. Breakfast very expensive, so we ate out.

Good location, nice building. Really “tired”, depressive and dirty interiors. Not working properly facilities (like even TV remote and room phone). Smiling but useless personal. You constantly feel yourself disturbing hotel personal to live their boring life…..

Modern inside , art deco exterior . We'll maintained. Seating areas comfortable and staff very helpful and friendly. Nothing

Amazingly beautifully hotel. People were stopping to take photos. Very friendly staff with great local knowledge. Great location away from the tourists of Venice but a short 10min ferry across to San Marco. Exceptionally clean town with great restaurants and cafes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
