Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel

I had to wait a few hours to check in because my room had to be cleaned but other guests came in a couple hours after me who had the same room type and they were immediately checked in. That isn't right to me.

Modern and clean. Close to bus and train. Helpful front desk Distance to central Venice area; extremely loud party noise at night from nearby neighborhood.

The location was easy to any form of transportation. Easy walk to the arts district and water taxis. I don’t think you can find a quieter location in this modern of a hotel. Very convenient to Resturants at nearby plaza. Nothing. Just described.

The location was exactly what I wanted. The room and lobby area was comfortable. Staff were always willing to lend a helpful hand. The breakfast was plentiful but just ok.

It was clean and new building and staff was helpful We booked a room with canal view.. literally the canal view was 5 meters long not worth the extra money

The location was perfect to walk to the centre, but far away enough that it was calmer. The reception staff are so helpful and kind.

The Avani Rio hotel is amazing. I had a wonderful stay with my friend. The room was great. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly and kind. The location is not bad (about a 30 min walk) to the main attractions like St Mark Basilica and the Doge Palace. However, it's next to a canal pickup point for water taxis to pick you up, and it's not too far from a public ferry. Also, the area near the hotel is quiet, but it's also not too far from some restaurants and bars. This is great if you want to relax and not deal with loud noise. Also, it's close to the bus and train station, making it easy to access public transportation. Honestly, if I went to Venice a second time, I would probably stay here again.

The restaurant doesn't serve lunch or dinner, only a few snacks.

It has a sewage smell and was really strong the second day we were there. There was no warning that the property was doing some kind of sewage maintenance and the smell was so strong, and almost unbearable.

Nice new very clean hotel was a good change from the charming old places we had been standing. The ac was great and the view was too. Good location a little off the beaten path. Free breakfast

We loved the location. The room, bed, and shower were all great. Especially loved the little extras in the bathroom like a loofah and toothbrush. We appreciated the water station in the lobby with both flat and bubbly water available 24/7. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I could say was that housekeeping did not automatically replenish coffee, tea, and cups. We had to call down and ask for more both nights. But they quickly responded. And the room was cleaned well, and towels were replaced when requested.

The staff was very kind, the place is clean and the breakfast is good.

Nice hotel and facilities

Quiet location near the train station. Very modern and new facilities compared to other hotels in Venice. Should avoid bringing big luggage as there a quite a number of stair bridges that need to be crossed to reach the hotel.
