The location and having a dock was great. “Historic” is one thing, but this hotel is tired. Surprising for a LHW property. The amenities in the room were minimal at best.

We took a water taxi from the airport and 30 minutes later we stepped foot at Ai reali’’s private dock. It was such a memorable experience. The perfect romantic escape for my husband and me. The staff is exceptional and extremely helpful when it comes to making reservations at restaurants. The hotel itself is beautiful and historical and you really feel like you are in a palace. The breakfast is delicious and the options are many. We even took a free trip to murano island with a private water taxi arranged by the hotel. It was calm, yet in the heart of Venice. Could not want a better location, 3 min walk from Rialto, easily accessible by public or private water transport. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was large with plenty of storage and a lovely outlook to the small canal below. Bathroom a little on small side but with a bath, floor heating and excellent fittings. We spent a lovely few hours in the spa/sauna. Breakfast options were varied and fresh. Nothing

Room was huge and comfortable with a king size bed. Bathroom with a full bath and shower (bit small). Linens were clean and large. On the canal you hear some noise from delivery boats in the early morning.
