Great location .

The balcones in all rooms in the hotel were closed (not allowed to open), and it was not clear upfront at time of booking.

Nice spacious rooms, good location, nice staff This time my bathroom had a weird smell and overall seemed to be very old, could use a make up.

Food is very good and restaurants is quite okay. 1.When i arrived, same day door on my room got broken. coudn't enter the room with card. I recieved a huge key what i had to keep with me each time i wanted to go out from the room. 2.On weekend i had to go to work, and asked receptionist if they can prepare for me a takeaway breakfast (usually hotels can do it...). I asked for boiled eggs and sousage. Both always available during breakfast. the conversation literally was this: me: can you do takeaway breakfast at 6:50? eggs and sousage. reception: no, we cannot (literally, word by word she said this) me: i asked why? reception: becasue we dont have the possibility me: so noone working in the kitchen before 7? reception: they are working, but its not possible me: the cannot do sousage and eggs? reception: no they cannot do it before breakfast time me: they dont have electricity? or water? reception: they have, but i cannot explain on english (dutch speaking few words). There is no possibility to make it 3.In shower the soap holder is broken. i pushed soap, and the whole holder fell down. 4.bads are rolling like a skateboard. each time after i woke up from it, i had to move back. 5.no automatic cleaning, you have to ask the same "smart reception" to do cleaning 6.In general rooms are very old looking 7.you can hear everything from the corridors. very disturbing. poor sound isolation

Nice location, friendly staff. Good bed. Carpet on the floors. Dinner was fully booked. Advisable to reserve before arrival. Hotel provided good recommendation though. Downtown Venlo is a short (taxi) ride. Shower is narrow.

Room is great and really loved the breakfast and lunge area. Love the setting - it is really pretty. For some reason the room was over scented as if they were trying to cover up a previous guest's odor? Had to open all the windows for an hour. We stayed there earlier in the week and didn't have that problem so must have been a one-off.

The breakfast was great and the staff was excellent. Loved the location. The road was a little tricky but the neighborhood was beautiful. The second stay the room was heavily scented - maybe to cover up something from a previous person. It took a while to dissipate with all the windows and door open.

Restaurant food was bad. Dry fish, dry meat.

It's such a wonderful hotel, nestled in such magnificent nature, where everything is perfect. I don't want to tell anyone I won't be able to find a room next time :) It gives you an indescribable joy. A lake in front of you, nestled in the woods... Happy people all around you. Great customers. Great staff. (Finding both is sometimes very difficult.) I'm not exaggerating: I parked my car. I took a few steps towards the hotel. And I thought to myself, I was in heaven. As someone who has written hundreds of hotel reviews, I'm going to issue a warning: If anyone writes a negative review about this hotel, don't read it! I'd like to thank everyone from the reception desk to the service staff, and even the guests who visit. I really like this hotel, location is awesome - a bit far away from the city, but this is OK. Quiet, a lot of nature around. Rooms are also nice, more space then I really need. Facilities in hotel are also OK, I didn't use sauna and swimming pool, but they were looking quite OK. Restaurant is as well on high level, can only recommend. I really like this hotel, so there is nothing too much to say what was wrong. Getting cab/taxi there was a bit problematic (but that could be related to sports event in the city same weekend), and it is quite distance to major commute points, but this is nothing what hotel can do with.

The setting is beautiful, in the forest. The room had stained carpets, and had 2 balconies but both doors to access them were broken so unable to use them!

Peaceful surroundings and swimming pool with sauna Outdated furniture, outdated elevators, unflexible staff and poor cleaning. Especially I didn't like that dinner is not possible to have if you didn't reserve it and no one is telling you upfront about it! View to inner yard of the building
