Hotel Oriente

The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The location was excellent and very convenient for exploring the area. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a good variety of fresh and tasty options. The check-in and overall stay went smoothly. The staff provided great service throughout my stay, and the hotel's location made it easy to get around. The breakfast exceeded my expectations and was a great way to start the day. The main downside was the bathroom. It was very small, quite outdated, and had an old plumbing system, which made it less comfortable to use. Renovating the bathroom would significantly improve the overall guest experience.

It's a beautiful place. The beds & pillows were comfortable. Breakfast had a large variety and very good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Great location - train station is across the street, views are spectacular. There are a ton of stairs. Bathrooms were on the small side, but that just might be a European thing (I'm from the US).

Awful experience Everything

Location Overall, our stay at the hotel was pleasant. The breakfast was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. However, there was one specific situation that caused us a lot of stress upon arrival. We were in two cars and had a lot of difficulty finding a place to park. After driving around for nearly an hour, I asked my wife to go into the hotel and start the check-in process to get information about the hotel’s parking. Unfortunately, the staff member on duty that night (an older gentleman) was inflexible and would only provide the parking information after we had presented the documents for all three guests staying in the room, which seemed unnecessary. My wife had our documents, but our friend’s documents were not available at that moment. Still, the staff member refused to tell us where the parking was located. Considering it was late (around 10 PM), and we were exhausted after a five-hour drive, all we wanted was to park and complete the check-in calmly. The requirement to finish the check-in before allowing us access to the parking lot was frustrating and delayed our evening even more. I understand that procedures are important, but I believe more flexibility and understanding from the staff would have made the experience much smoother. This was the only negative aspect of our stay, and we hope that situations like this can be handled better in the future.

Superb

Location was perfect. 5 minutes walk from local train station that could connect us to all the sites. Breakfast was good and the views wonderful. Economy room was run down and in need of modernisation. Grounds needed maintaining and sweeping. Paint peeling of walls on corridors. No service for tea and coffee in the afternoon or in the rooms. Little choice for evening meal.

Fabio and all the staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. Hotel super clean and a delight to stay in. Totally recommend.

As we were staying for 10 nights the staff told us that we had been put into a large room so we had more than ample space to spread out and to store our belongings. The breakfast was the complete "continental" style, sufficient to not become repetitive. As with all aspects of the hotel the staff couldn't do enough to meet every requirement. The views across Marina were excellent from nearly every part of the hotel. The Oriente is less than 200 yards from the station that serves the entire Naples to Sorrento area. 15 minutes to Sorrento and 20 to Pompeii, making it an ideal location to visit the busier areas but stay in a quieter town. Quieter, but still offering a vibrant night life with a more than adequate range of restaurants and bars. Our private taxi transfers and the majority of our trips were arranged by the hotel staff, allowing us to fully plan our trip whilst saving us time - these did price match the local businesses. Highly recommended and excellent value for money.

Crew was wonderful. The hotel is unique. Breakfast is lovely. Parking place is available (15 Euro/day). Not easy to reach the room from the parking place nor to reach the beach from the room. But this is how it goes in this area because of the topography.

Exceptional

I was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel where I took my son to celebrate the end of his exams. We were in an economy twin room and whilst the room was basic, the terrace area outside with a view of the sea more than made up for it. The mattresses were amazing and I could not fault the cleanliness either. The communal areas are really nice too - e.g. the bar area where you overlook the sea. The staff are utterly amazing and a special mention goes to Carmela at Reception who helped me retrieve some lost items due to last minute lateness (my fault) when we checked out. The breakfast was good - perfectly decent, but perhaps the buffet could be replenished a bit more towards the end. If you go to breakfast before 8.30am it is not a problem, however. I never got a chance to visit the private beach as we were too busy. This is a hotel which provides excellent value for money with amazing views of of the sea! It is more or less opposite the train station where you can get trains to Naples and Sorrento, but there is no noise from the trains in the hotel itself. I would definitely recommend and go back. Only minor item would be the breakfast buffet perhaps needing to be replenished after 8.30 am - e.g. I really like melon/fruit for breakfast but the popular fruit was not replaced when it ran out. Overall not a big issue at all

Exceptional

The property was very clean, to a good standard and there was lovely art pieces around the hotel. It was very close to the beach although the beach for the hotel was closed. We were able to use another section of the same beach owned by someone else at a cost. Communication was very limited when we arrived, there was no information about the facilities, where anything was located, how to book the restaurant or menus , no information on wifi codes, or how to access the sun terraces etc. which I think makes a good welcome when you arrive somewhere new. I think it would have been nice to have some information in the room if someone wasn’t able to go through this at the very least. It would have been lovely to have coffee/tea facilities in the room especially as we had a balcony.

Very good

The room was very comfortable and clean, with a beautiful sea view. Breakfast was good. The location is also very good, close to the train station.

The rooms were outdated but functional

You have to figure out a lot of stuff. The intercom at the front gate is #22 then you have to ring. Room 22 is on the second floor but you have to figure it out for yourself. Finally someone came and got us in the lobby. They should have more details about what to do on arrival.

Great location right near the train for the train in from Naples or a day trip to Sorrento! Beautiful views from the balconies/outdoor areas, clear rooms, really helpful and friendly staff and great access to a small, quiet beach! A short walk from the main square passing lots of lovely restaurants on the way, you’re not far from anything! N/A
