It is not dar from the city center. Tram stop is near. Easy to reach via public transport from the Airport. It is possible to leave a luggage at the reception after check out. During hot days it is hot inside. No AC in the room. Very simple breakfast.

The room was large and comfortable - the decor was "quirky" but fun. Breakfast was fine - a very good European buffet. Walking distance (for us at least) to Vienna Centre - very convenient. Restaurants in the area. It was a bit too noisy to leave the window open, and the room got stuffy - we were there in shoulder season, AC would likely have been on in summer.

The lady from the reception who speaks Serbian is super kind, friendly, and helpful. Location is very convenient. Super close to Wien Mitte (The Mall), many restaurants, bakeries, shops, coffee shops, CAT, etc. The room was spacious and clean. Everything was ok.

Location is good. Breakfast ok, staff is trying to be helpfull but quite slow.. Themed rooms are beautiful, but lot of necessary things missing.. like toilet is old, curtains are see through etc, internet doesnt work well in the room.. And our room was just meters away from the reception Super bad internet, walls are really thin so you can hear everything, there was a lot of construction noices... Light coming inside to your room since the curtains are not covering the sun. Old toilet and the room needs reconstruction.

Location, staff Need AC in a room

  • Engine customer May 2026

Beautiful hotel, right by the river The neighbouring apartments playing music loudly, but the hotel cannot also do anything

In general the hotel is a pleasant stay with a unique sense to it. Its accessibility and closeness to the city center makes it ideal for a short city break. Since one of our party has physical problems climbing stairs the initial stairs in the doorway were difficult for her. The room itself was clean and pleasant. But needs some attention to the balcony door which did not operate properly and the lack of some basic needs in the bathroom like basic toiletries. Usually for a short trip people tend to assume such things will be in the hotel so tend not bring them alone. Adding them in would make the stay more convenient and fun.

Friendly staff and property is super stylish, well decorated, fantastic breakfast

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

Old-fashioned and very particularly decorated hotel with friendly staff, especially the dark-haired lady. We requested a specific room and the hotel catered for this well. Room and bathroom felt a tad unclean and didn't have kettle or tea-making facilities which would have been nice when coming in from the cold.

    Good

Single room is very small, which is typical for Europe. Stairs are narrow and thin, there is an elevator which was not working the day I arrived. I did not pay for breakfast at this hotel so cannot comment. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was within easy walking distance to a supermarket, cafe and tram stop. The bed was comfortable and there was a TV in the room. There was no coffee or tea facility for my use in my room which I do like to have. Noise travels easily as one night I heard thumping on floor above me all night and muffled voices all night.

Nothing Uncomfortable bedrooms and old, worn-out furniture. The rooms do not feel comfortable, and the decor is comfortable and uncomfortable. The room is depressing and the mattress is very bad. There is no elevator from the door to the reception, and there is no person to help carry the bags.

Breakfast was delicious In our room the tube didn't work well

Everything was perfect ,especially the cleaning and staff in the reception if we will come again on Vienna the first place for us is Urania hotel!!!!! Also the decoration is amazing with portraits and classical style like you are in opera!!!

I booked a room with a jacuzzi to relax and unwind. The floor in that room is screed with epoxy, which is great to clean and takes no harm when It gets wet. However, it is stone cold and there are no bathroom slippers, not even for sale at the reception. This spoiled the otherwise pleasant experience.

There is a jakuzzi for two in the bedroom. Amazing! The room has a style too, makes it quite an experience to stay here. There is a place to chill when you like reading outside the jakuzzi :) If I must mention something then this bed was not for me. The bed frame not comfortable when getting out. Also I prefer having 2 pillows. There was one, and it was very large for me. I probably could have asked reception for help, and I did not. They would have helped, but at 2 am, I did not think about that option.

?️ Rooms with Personality Each room at Urania is a creative playground. Whether you’re sleeping in a baroque-style boudoir, a futuristic sci-fi pod, or a jungle-inspired hideaway, the attention to detail is impressive. The décor leans theatrical—sometimes bordering on eccentric—but that’s part of the charm. It’s clear the designers had fun, and guests do too. ? Comfort & Amenities While the themes steal the spotlight, the basics are solid. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are clean, and Wi-Fi is reliable. Don’t expect luxury-level polish—some furnishings show their age, and the lighting can be more mood-setting than practical—but everything works as it should. ? Breakfast & Service The breakfast is modest but satisfying, with fresh pastries, coffee, and a few local specialties. Staff are friendly and helpful, though service can be a bit laid-back. If you’re used to concierge-level attention, you might need to adjust expectations—but the team is genuinely welcoming. ? Location & Vibe Urania is well-situated for exploring nearby attractions, with public transport within walking distance. The hotel itself feels like a hidden treasure—quiet, quirky, and full of character. It’s ideal for couples, solo travelers, or anyone craving a break from the ordinary. ? Final Verdict Hotel Urania isn’t for everyone—but if you’re open to a bit of theatrical flair and don’t mind trading luxury for creativity, it’s a memorable stay. Think of it as part hotel, part art installation. A solid 3-star experience with a 5-star imagination.
