Great hotel in a perfect location. If you're looking for a hotel that is a short walking distance from some of the major attractions and restaurants this is the place! Public transportation is also just steps away from the front door and the Hop On/Off Bus stops across the bridge. The hotel has the feel of a boutique hotel occupying a few floors of the building. They also had huge, fluffy bath towels which is rare for a European hotel. But, the thing that makes this place really great is the attentive staff. We were greeted by Marco who was always pleasant and offered many good suggestions. He made us feel like we were special guests. The breakfast selection was very good and the afternoon coffee and cake were a real treat. The breakfast area was clean and well organized. Again, the kitchen staff was outstanding, in particular the lady who wore the number 18 jersey. She not only worked hard to clean and re-set the tables, she always had a smile for all the guests.

The location is fantastic. That’s about it. We were promised a quiet room in the inside courtyard that was nonsmoking. We were given a room on the first floor on the busy front street. We didn’t sleep at all from the noise. Plus even though the property claims to be nonsmoking, the residue of earlier cigarette smoking has seeped into the wallpaper so the room reeked of stale smoke. The staff was unhelpful when we complained until we got booking.com customer service involved. Oh and the breakfast is the worst I’ve seen in a hotel in this city.
