Breakfast!

Vierzon doesn't offer a lot. Just a stopping point I think
-
Lovely staff, convenient parking, clean The place looks like it could have been nice in its heyday. Today, it looks a little run down.
-
Closeness to bars,/restaurants Room was a little small and shabby which wasn't obvious on website. Area was questionable, didn't feel safe to leave valuables in room
-
Did what it needed to do. But a little above the price it was worth.
-
. No fried or scrambled eggs available at breakfast.

Very good

Although the hotel was showing its age a little, it was charming, very focused on the 'American Diner' theme so if you don't like the idea of that, find somewhere else! But the room was large, comfortable and good value for money, as was breakfast. It's very central in Vierzon although I didn't find much in the town itself to make a detour for. However, as an overnight stop on a long road trip through France it's close to the autoroute, easy to find and has secure covered parking at no extra cost. For me a least, it was a much better choice than soulless, autoroute fast-hotels. The staff were also very friendly. Given the very reasonable room-rate, nothing really. Everything worked, and the room and en-suite although aging a bit, were spotlessly clean.

It was in a very good location with easy walk into town and there was the added bonus of underground parking. Lovely view of the river from the bedroom. Bedroom was a little on the small size and the toilet could have done with a splash of bleach.

Very acceptable The unsafe neighbourhood

Reception on arrival, Location, cleanliness, breakfast Morning staff, rusty looking water when initially turning on the taps
-
Lovely friendly Atmosphère very supportive staff easy underground parking beautiful views up the river

I booked on booking.com while I was on the train to Vierzon. The online booking form had me choose an arrival time via a drop down menu. I arrived well within the times I chose but I arrived to be informed by the person at reception that she had tried to call me “several times” as reception is closed! Not sure what I would have been told if my phone had actually rung but I suspect my booking would have been cancelled.

Great parking under the hotel , perfect location with just a 2min walk to a lovely Pub/Restaurant and a very nice Italian Restaurant , have been using this hotel for a long time as the overnight stop on the way to Spain and on the way back .

Quirky but pleasant and very welcoming. Excellent location by the river and very close to town centre. Excellent breakfast. Disappointed not to have coffee making our room,
-
By the river with a park and a good restaurant across the road. Quirky decor. Kettle in the room so we could make coffee when we wanted. Near a supermarket. Underground car park for residents. Our room looked on to the supermarket roof, with heat reflected back (there was air conditioning) and other rooms looked onto a car park, nowhere to sit outside.

Private parking near centre of town.

The Arche hotel is very quirky - you either like it or you don't but it is situated in a good location. Our room was spacious with views over the canal and the secure parking is a real bonus. A second toilet was a bonus. The room, although clean, was not super clean and the inside windows were very dirty, for which there should have been no excuse. We were given a room for the disabled with a shower with no shower tray so the floor was flooded after my shower.

The canal to walk our dog. Good Central location. Pleasant staff No tea or coffee in room Restaurant closed
