I stayed here during a drive through France. I spent 8 hours total in the hotel. It was a good fit for my needs: there was a comfortable bed and a shower. In summary: not great for a week long family vacation, but if you just need a bed for a night, it's a great choice. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were doing their best to help me in English. Needs refurbishment, paper thin walls.

Just a great, simple, and cheap hotel with a good bar.

Easy location from the motorway, very friendly staff and good food. Quick stop over Out of their control but it was very hot 32 degrees so without air conditioning it was a hot night sleep. Otherwise it would of been ok

We arrived to find the bar underneath it was very noisy and busy with locals, which clukd be heard jn the room. The entrance to the hotel was not secured or monitored meaning anyone could walk in up to the rooms. The street outside for parking was dark, not secured or monitored meaning our packed car with bikes was available to anyone. We had our 2 children with us on our way yo our holiday so did not feel it was a secure place to stay. Therefore we left & parked at a motorway services and slept in the car.

The staff were really nice ??. The bed was hard and awful pillows. The strange 5 to 8 pm check-in. No fridge. Very rough wall treatment/finish. My wife brushed against it, and it caught the threads in her top and pulled them into a gather.

Friendly and very clean room

Convenient and easy to book in. Relaxed environment and friendly staff. Clean and simply room. Internet was very poor and erratic. This was the only thing I really felt could have been better, and reliable fast internet should be standard now, so there's no excuse.

Great value, good location, accepts pets and parking outside. Very friendly staff and deserves better rating than it has! No complaints perfect for a budget stop over.

We wanted somewhere that was near the main railway station, which L’Excess certainly is. Our room was very basic, but clean and comfortable. We were able to have our evening meal in the restaurant. The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would have liked to find at least one vegan dish on the menu. However it was no trouble for them to prepare a salad
