The hotel is beautiful and is up on hill so you see the beautiful views of Porto on the opposite side and the Douro river. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and it’s within walking distance to restaurants and bars etc. next to the waters edge. I found that rooms weren’t always fully restocked so for instance used tissue box was forgotten to be replaced. Espresso capsules not replaced and water bottles. I also found the menu limiting and expensive. For someone that is vegetarian there were limited options and for what you pay a small bottle of water poolside and coffee for instance were overpriced.

The Yeatman was one of the best hotels we ever stayed at. The room was comfortable, the views were amazing, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was outstanding.

Every single detail. The venue, the staff, the view, both pools.

Great location. Classic hotel. Beds too hard. Our room was a very long walk, down two different elevators. Probably took 10 minutes with a brisk walk. Everyday got old.

Unfortunately, the night I booked was the same time as a major wedding with a prominent local family. As a result, the iron gates was closed and locked which made it difficult for a friend of mine to enter. The restaurant was closed where my friend and I were to have dinner. The outside terraces were overrun with wedding guests where we intended to watch the sunset and view the city lights. If I had known there was a wedding the same time, I would not have booked this venue. The hotel was very expensive for what I was able to enjoy.

The attention to detail, the elegance, the breakfast — all were exceptional. There was some confusion over the breakfast service, but the staff really tried very hard to serve us well.

Amazing location, amazing views, amazing facility. Staff is also outstanding. I was disappointed Bar staff one evening late at night but other than that it was an impeccable stay!

The spa is excellent as well as the breakfast. Rooms are also very comfortable with incredible views. There is no shuttle down to the main road.

The only thing I didn’t care for was having to take two different elevators to get to my room. Plus it was quite a walk between the two elevators.
