Villa Monica SHOULDN'T use any international booking service at all and should be removed from listing their property at booking.com

Perfect place to stay in Villa de Leyva! It’s 2 blocks from the main plaza and one block from the bus station, so super easy for arrival and departure. Tons of restaurants and shops close by. The room was beautiful and well-kept, super comfortable. We loved the balcony that looks out over the street. Would definitely recommend for your stay in Villa de Leyva!

Fantastic location, a block and a half from the main square and surrounded by great places to eat and shop. Super friendly and helpful staff. No dedicated parking but plenty of places to choose from nearby. Very quiet and while some of the rooms don't have great ventilation, the staff gave us a powerful fan to keep the room cool. Always felt secure and safe. Free drinking water (best not to drink tap water in the countryside) and wifi. TVs in the room. One of the rooms had a balcony overlooking the street. Great showers. No breakfast included but understandable for the price, and great places to eat close by. Our bed was hard and slanted, so it wasn't very comfy. But this was the only downer.

Locacion No natural light on the rooms, the rooms look into the corridor, and you have to choose between opening your window or having any privacy. The door locks were loose and damaged. One of our keys broke and they asked us to pay which is ridiculous as that happened due to the loose door handle. The toilets were dirty and felt it was just to seem like it was cleaned.

The hotel is confortable, I had a good night. The bedroom and bathroom were clean The day before my arrival they send an e-mail asking for a deposit in the bank, I replied I was not able to do it, but I got not answer. When I arrived to the hotel they told me they had mantained the booking because it was not a weekend (lucky me!). I paid in cash at check-in time and 5 minutes after being in the bedroom the guy arrived telling that I gave him a counterfeit bill. I've changed the bill to avoid problems but it was weird. There is a possibility that the bill was counterfeit but also that he took advantage of me. So, not a good feeling

good spot very near the central square and excellent value for money. only take cash and no card. no fans in the room so it gets a bit stuffy

Great location (2 blocks from the bus station, 2 blocks from the plaza mayor), clean but simple rooms with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Staff couldn't speak English so not ideal for those with limited knowledge thereof. My room was comfortable and clean, but it's clear the hotel was built in a converted manor as my room required me to nearly crawl up the stairs in order to not hit my head against the ceiling, and there was no window in my actual room.
