Hyatt Place San Diego/Vista-Carlsbad

So I went to stay there for 2 days for my daughter's birthday. Upon check in, I was told by the staff that the parking was additional per day. I said when I booked it on expedia there was parking included. They waived it. Next in the room, there were spiders in the bathroom coming in and out. We managed to kill one of them. They must come from the non functioning air conditioning vent because they have wall units. Then one of my daughters found a piece if a condom wrapper that doesn't sit well with us. We quickly dispatched of the wrapper. Since we did not book directly with the place, they cannot do anything as far as compensation. We just prayed none of my kids discovered anything further.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt it was a short drive to most locations. The pool and hot tub were great for relaxing after a long day.

Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night a.c did not work some type of compensation is needed I’ll reach out more.

Hotel has an older beachy charm being close to the ocean and OldTown. The property doesn’t look large from the front entrance but there’s a larger bldg in the back. The underground parking mimics the above property - lots of spaces. The ceiling is low but tall enough for my Jeep Wrangler to get in. If I had roof lights, it wouldn’t fit. Front desk were welcoming, bfast was good. The center courtyard tables are a nice area to relax.

Confortable beds, super friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms,fun pool, and great breakfast.

The location is fantastic, but our room felt quite dated. The furniture and bathroom are in need of a modernization or a complete refresh to match the quality of the property's surroundings.

I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this is the very first time I had money stolen from my room. The staff was not helpful. We left on friday morning and didn't hear anything from them until I called on monday.And at this point they want me to make a police report and said, that's all they can do.

Rude breakfast staff , food was cold

We checked in on a Monday and are checking out on Thursday. After a long day at Legoland and the beach, we were looking forward a clean room, showers and bed. Instead nothing had been cleaned. After calling twice for clean towels I went downstairs to the housekeeping area and was able to get towels and toilet paper from an employee - you can see me carrying it all in the picture. I wish it would have been a cleaner room because the location of the hotel and the layout of the room is perfect for a family of 5.

Breakfast was amazing

Breakfast was really good, with lots of choices. Hot food! Parking was close to building and staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff were courteous and polite. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. Rooms where clean.
