Hotel U Viveiro

Some minor room details were not on point, such as paint chipping off a wall where some recent repair had been done. But that didn't really affect our stay. We paid for parking... We didn't have breakfast included with our stay, but the hotel has a nice cafe where we could get fresh coffee and toast for less than what the breakfast costs.

Great friendly check-in/reception staff, a good-sized room with a super view over the water. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good with plenty of hot water. WiFi good. The tv had a limited number of channels and was not a Smart tv. Although there was a mini bar it was expensive with even the water being chargeable, no free bottled water. It was disappointing that the terrace bar was not open (only open for breakfasts it seems) Not many places nearby for eating out - we ended up buying sandwiches from a nearby supermarket for dinner!

Wish there was a coffee machine in the room

Very good and spacious room and bathroom. Great bed. Worth paying extra for the view of the river. Spectacular view from the room with the floor to ceiling windows. The same building has a cafeteria which is great for coffees or drinks.

Huge room, modern bathroom. The best bed and pillows. The staff were lovely. We wished there was a restaurant for evening meals as it was a struggle to find places to eat earlier than 9 pm

Modern, clean, comfortable bed, nice staff Lack of facilities. This was rated as a 4 star hotel but it had no restaurant only a breakfast bar. There was a cafe bar separate to the hotel which was a public cafe with limited menu and no space. In the room there were no tea/coffee making facilities and limited toiletries.

Nothing stood out. This is marketed as a 4 star hotel and yet no coffee or tea facilities in room. I had to pay 8 euros to park my bicycle overnight in a car park that was supposed to be part of the hotel but wasn't. The staff seemed to spend most of their time chatting with friends. Not very welcoming.

The room was very good, with plenty of space. The breakfast room was on the 6th floor, with lovely views. Good sized bath and separate shower cubicle. Helpful, friendly staff. The hotel didn't have a separate restaurant, only a public bar that served food. The first night we were able to get a normal height table and ate in the hotel. The second night we ate elsewhere but were unable to find such a table for a last drink, or two. My wife is short and has mobility problems, so raised height tables and stools are no good. The sixth floor terrace was closed during our stay. It was advertised as parking on site but the spaces were at the far end of an underground public car park. To unload my wife's mobility scooter I had to retrieve the car from the parking, drive to the unloading space in front of the hotel, unload the scooter and drive my car back to the car park, and reverse when we had finished with the scooter

Superb

Nice spacious room, in a handsome, small and modern hotel, Good views from most rooms - people watching was entrancing through the floor to ceiling moked windows throughout the night and day as the light and weather changed across the estuary. Immediately close to two launderettes. I was a winter peregrino and hauled up to dry out. If you're phone or laptop needs attention head to McDigital, Fabian refused to charge me despite spending twenty minutes trying to fix my dying phone - because he couldn't guarantee a new screen would work, Fantastic, frendly obliging staff who indulged my poor Spanish. I didn't eat in because I wanted to experience more of this town. Diolch yn fawr iawn. The street view on my second visit - but that's reflective of the price I paid being spoiled by the corner room on my first visit.

Wry nice room, shower, and view of the bay while the tide went out. Super helpful staff.

Perfect view

We had a lovely room with views on the river and the walk along the riverside. The room was spotlessly clean, very well illuminated and had all the facilities one needs. The bathroom was also perfect, with good light and a wonderful huge shower. The staff super friendly and helpful. Breakfast as also perfect with fresh orange juice and very good coffee. Location perfect! There was nothing I did not like. All was perfect.
