Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in .. the place needs demolished.. how have IHG the owners of holiday inn let things get this bad ?! .. no idea how it has 4 starts .. and don’t know how people are saying the breakfast was great ..it was decidedly average.
-
The bathroom was not cleaned all dirty especially the shower
-
It wasn't particularly clean The lights are annoying you have to get up and turn the main light off no reading light available
-
Close to the train station None
-
Ideal location, nearest to station, AC was available
-
Excellent location, room size is good,
-
Well located for the city centre. Parking available in a multi-story car park, nearby. The views from our bedroom windows were not very good.
-
A couple of drawers would have been welcome, to avoid living out of suitcases.

Staff
-
The staff were excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. Location. Definitely seemed a seedy area. Parking. Not enough of it and it seemed very disorganized.
-
Suggestion - Add mushrooms to the breakfast to bring veg choice.

The location Very good value for money
-
Location free parking very friendly staff Boiler disfunction no hot water . However, these things happen and it’s beyond the hotels control. The manager promised to give me a few more extra points as compensation. I hope she did.

Great location, and the rooms are comfortable. I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Wakefield on numerous occasions and always had perfectly clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. Breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful.

-
It’s warms and friendly, the staff are wonderful and kind! The shower facilities are amazing and the temperature is perfect. I can’t find any fault.
-
The staff are super friendly and the room is always ready for our arrival! The only negative thing I have to say is the lack of parking, but it’s only a minor issue.

Nice to have breakfast in the morning! Condition of hotel is obviously old and allowed to remain run down from elevators to stain on carpet in hallways to condition of equipment in bathroom, etc. Allowed to deteriorate
